Hello everyone! In this week's video I am showing how I color different lighting situations. I'll be talking about shading in normal lighting, sunset lighting, and night lighting. The software I am using is Clip Studio Paint.

For some reason I was proud when I understood what the “multiply”, “clipping”, “opacity”, and warm and cold colors were xD just made me think I somehow knew how to draw online..

I just wanna say I make my work easier by just coloring character in normal colors, kind of like in day light and then on another layer just put a color, lower opaticy and make it to look like sunset or night xD But I have to say I had problems in making sunset set look like sunset, so that tutorial showed me how I can fix my sunset's, yay!

I’ve been working on a drawing project myself (I’m trying to make a manga, I was inspired by this channel to try it! :D), and I’ve been looking for tutorials on how to do night shading, sunny shading, but never quite understood that well. This video will be such a big help!

I love Raelynn's (I don't know how to spell her name, sorry!) ears. I like them both white and black, but I think white might make more sense... If she was a white sheep it would have been easier to dye her hair... er- wool? XD
Oh! I love the shading! The sunset gives a warm vibe and the night is my favorite. It kinda looks like she' is outside and it's a cloudy or kinda foggy so you can't see the stars. It's really beautiful!

I'm trying to submit an original character but it says that the email address that that you said in one of your previous videos expired or does not exist.
To be honest, when I'm editing, I also have different layers for each different color. I then clip an extra layer above the color layer, and set it to multiply as well, but I then use the eyedropper tool to select teh original color. It makes my life a lot easier, but it takes longer. If the shadows or highlights (which I use add for), are too saturated, then I would tone it down a little by changing the opacity.

For ibis paint x users, use alpha lock instead of lock transparent pixels- Same thing, different name :D

Wow, Raelyn looks so so different. Your art style is greatly evolving! Recently, I've been practicing how to color gems and metals but I have a little bit of trouble with it. If you can do a tutorial on how to color gems, gold, metal, or other shiny things, that would be awesome!

ha ha, whats funny is that i just did a drawing where my characters are playing a video game and the light source was the tv. the only thing i struggled with was the light since i didn't know how to apply it :|. i think ill try to change it and see how i do, but overall the video was helpful :)
