"If you want to show her that you love her. A engagement ring is a nice touch" In my opinion you only need three ways to show her that you love her. The way you touch her, speak to her and look at her (and it is free) :)
narrator's choice of wording is pretty crap on this one. I want to hear about the process of ring making not about how expensive it is to gift to a girlfriend if it was going to have to be mentioned that way he could have at least gone and said fiancee/fiance(can't remember which is which now)
Well to be fair the whole video is about making a platinum ring, which is usually given as a proposal. If fiancee was used, that implies that the viewer has already proposed and thus the information on the creation of the ring is completely useless. But by using girlfriend, it serves to say "hey you might want to propose to your girlfriend, but give her a platinum ring while you're at it. Oh by the way, here's how those are made." Its all semantics really but your complaint about the wording is rendered invalid.
most valuable PRECIOUS metal. There are more valuable metals than platinum (Well, gold is currently a more valuable precious metal, but even when this video was made, there were more valuable metals per kilogram)
AKR, you're right if you're saying that rhodium is worth less than platinum at the moment. But Gold is worth about $300 per ounce more than platinum at the moment. Also, I stand by what I said. These are valuable precious metals. And while the video was correct (at the time it was produced), if it meant to say that platinum was the most valuable precious metal in the world... it's completely wrong to say that it's the most valuable metal in the world. There are plenty of metallic isotopes and radioactive metals that are worth FAR more than platinum per ounce.
Platinum is not, (at the time of this comment), "worth twice it's weight in gold". Actually the two are around the same price range. The entire platinum series of elements are actually all fairly expensive, (palladium being among the cheaper of them). Also, as far as I know, high purity Au does not change in color as it is non reactive with most everything in the air.
+Jake Townsend I think he meant compared to other precious metals. Gold and silver on their own do not rust or tarnish. They tarnish only because they have other metals added in sometimes.
I casting Platinum Cobalt 95-5 alloy in MC20v Indutherm furnace with Romanoff Fast Cast investment and 3Dsolidscape printing waxes. Casted rings appear with the rough surface. Is it necessary to clean or paint the waxes before adding the investment to the cylinder?
No not even close Platinum has never been the most valuable metal in the modern world. Even if you look over the last decade it competes with gold on value per oz. Much less metals that fetch 100x the price per oz. because they barely exist in this world at all.
at 5:21 He said Gold and silver will change color over time ........... WTF are u talking about Gold will not change color even if u left it in the sun for 10,000 Years my Friend
Hello ,it is possible combination pt.950 OS? (Platinum 950 osmium) , or become to brittle??because I'm interested to increase scratch resistance, and i love slightly blue color of Osmium. TANK YOU.
Extraction is difficult, yes, but it is a lot less rare than gold. The reason it is so expensive is that it can be used to make incredibly resistant lab equipment, and it is used to make catalytic converters for cars
Exactly. People don't know how easy it is to clean gold and silver. 20 seconds with a $5 cloth and it looks brilliant, whereas platinum requires specialized polishing methods...you could polish it the normal way with any old jeweler, but since platinum alloys are SOFTER than yellow/red/white gold alloys you'd lose lots of monetary value and your shank would thin alarmingly fast.
A time when platinum was twice as expensive as Gold.
Now Gold is higher. At least in India it is.
Are these the same techniques Sauron would have used?
platinum may be expensive but that ring at the end was damn ugly
yo you still alive
"If you want to show her that you love her. A engagement ring is a nice touch"
In my opinion you only need three ways to show her that you love her.
The way you touch her, speak to her and look at her (and it is free) :)
Still need the commitment. 😃
Platinum is not the most valuable metal.....

most valuable PRECIOUS metal. There are more valuable metals than platinum (Well, gold is currently a more valuable precious metal, but even when this video was made, there were more valuable metals per kilogram)
not anymore

There is so much that is wrong about this video it is actually embarrassing to watch.
I know, right? This must have been funded by the Platinum Guild.

Ada Wong high purity gold is not used in jewelry
I'm sorry but that ring is the ugliest piece of shit I've ever laid my eyes upon.
This helps for my assignment
How does customers know that they are getting platinum and not slivers 😂
I thought platinum was 1 million copies?
I just don't get jewelry. Seems to me like a waste of good material.
Chilledfish a fellow Vulcan I see. Hi
I wonder how many times they've dropped the scoop in the tube..
buy a Platinum ring for your GF, then she divorces yur ass....BWAHAHAHA
what's exactly what happened to me!
"Platinum doesn't corrode because of its purity"
Okay. Give me pure Iron and tell me that won't rust...
+Jake Townsend I think he meant compared to other precious metals. Gold and silver on their own do not rust or tarnish. They tarnish only because they have other metals added in sometimes.
You're assuming that pure iron and pure platinum react the exact same with oxygen.
+Yog Sothoth I'm pretty sure pure silver does tarnish in air, but only after ages.
Pure platinum is extremely stable. That's why it's used as electrodes and in your catalytic converter.
"because of its purity"
That ring was ugly af.
I had platinum in my bones for over a year, during medical treatment... I must have been so fucking expensive.
that was probably titanium
How do they know they're not getting bits of other platinum-group metals mixed in - like iridium and osmium?
Platinum is now cheaper than gold. This has only happened twice in 24 odd years. its undervalued so now is the perfect time to buy!
Platinum is no more twice price of Gold ! This year Gold finally beat Platinum, check it out :)
Michael Kerestes what about now
Michael Kerestes and now lol
i love the narrator sense of humor.
Yes so upset so mad grr... Are we done yet?
what a sad sad narration.
how stupid do they think their audience is? :-(
time to make one for myself! Il just give my girl the brick.
Fuck that! these beautiful things are not for heartless creatures.....
Then the dick
she'll pretty much have to!
And how exactly are we supposed to get the terminator inside the furnace without getting killed? We're gonna need John Connor!
so much work!
I know how much platinum cost, but how much does a girlfriend cost?
Why are they just assuming its for a girl? The choice of wording really isnt that great. I want to hear about how they are made.
Wow that was awesome. Nice Platinum brick!
Rhodium is the most valuable metal in the world
no. that would be some isotope of plutonium used in the production of high yield nuclear devices.
This video is problematically heteronormative
Where is located am interested personally meeting and order platinum ring
the terminator wouldn't, but chuck norris would
I casting Platinum Cobalt 95-5 alloy in MC20v Indutherm furnace with Romanoff Fast Cast investment and 3Dsolidscape printing waxes. Casted rings appear with the rough surface. Is it necessary to clean or paint the waxes before adding the investment to the cylinder?
Powder that makes platinum stick to it
that was amazing O.O
Now gold is twice the value of platinum
And then make a disgusting shank design like that lol terrible
UGLIEST thing ever made.
Today, Platinum is CHEAPER than Gold! It's worth around:
-8.31% vs 18k Gold
-25% vs 22k Gold
-31.25% vs 24k Gold
What a joke!
Platnium is cheaper then gold
There is a isotope of platinum thats worst 13 million bucks per gram :O
You mean platinum 190? It's also radioactive, but barely
i wonder how much they get payed :/
No not even close Platinum has never been the most valuable metal in the modern world. Even if you look over the last decade it competes with gold on value per oz. Much less metals that fetch 100x the price per oz. because they barely exist in this world at all.
No...not even close their are metals so valuable so rare only a couple of ounces even exist on this Earth.
Probably only once. The guy who did it was fired. He later ended up at the bottom ocean for spoiling a million dollars of plat.
Actually Platinum $1670 and Gold $1656 per ounce on march 2012!
and in 2021 (9 years later) gold is much pricier than platinum.. Thanks to VW and Dieselgate!
@hitachi088 actually it would be around $1300-$1500 US without diamond
@Velonuga Technically he uploads videos from the programs. He doesn't make them. But yeah, upload more food videos too ^^
it either was in 2010 or it is in Europe because i'm pretty sure Nat. Geo. would not accept an incorrect episode
at 5:21 He said Gold and silver will change color over time ........... WTF are u talking about Gold will not change color even if u left it in the sun for 10,000 Years my Friend
Wrong on so many levels
Platinum is so rare that if all the worlds platinum were melted it would form a cube 15 feet cubed
my ring had a stamp that says "925" in it, is that platinum?
+ML That means that its 92.5% pure. I'd guess its sterling silver. Otherwise it might be white gold or platinum, but not as likely.
im sure its silver
cuz white gold is 750
silver
925 is sterling silver..... You have a special ring..... Keep it.....
So expensive
Hello ,it is possible combination pt.950 OS? (Platinum 950 osmium) , or become to brittle??because I'm interested to increase scratch resistance, and i love slightly blue color of Osmium. TANK YOU.
Osmium is toxic, so iridium would be better.
if we find a rock containing tons of platinum in space, who actually own the rock?
@DeaderNBetter yes, in the US. In the UK it's 300,000 and in Canada it's 500,000
yes, please upload more videos about food !
Hmmm what is tougher then? Platinum or tungsten rings?
Sorry to burst your bubble but platinum is actually less valuable than gold...
oohh my promise ring is platinum.... wow
jailyn Tomitis a promise ring? You need an engagement ring! As. Beautiful as you are I would make sure and lock you down lol
Those chemicals left glass intact as well. Does it make glass a "supermaterial"?
Nice
no one is ever going to disclose, how its done! that is one thing you can believe! especially to the public.
The powder called *OMO*
Jimmy Christian and omo is made of?
help me pls !!!!!!!!!!!
what season? what episode this video???????????
"Only platinum will do"....erm why is that? Also, the spot price for gold right now is waaaay above platinum
G M the vid might have been sponsored by some jewelry company
My house walls were made from that 'brick'. They're not that expensive. -_-
completely false
Gold $1300
Platinum now about $800
platinum is less than gold, brobeans.
You mean polonium? It is, platinum is not..
what are the trays made of? o.o
girlfriend? I want one for myself
1 ounces is worth about 2 grand
I just want to grab it from the screen... :O
That's not even being a troll dude.
Isn`t PL190 also radioactive ?
So many jokes, So many.....
FOUR Months ago. FOUR! Why now?
@Velonuga he only uploads them :D
Do you want it to be done?
Cool Video
Can someone please tell what was that white pouter At 1:10
Cocaine...... Pure fire cocaine
.
I love his accent
Trolololol
You mad bro?
I'd be more happy with a ring pop then this
The chubby cynic eyy
platinum is not as rear as gold. the reason it is so expensive is that it is in such high demand
it looks nicer in my opinion!
No, you're wrong. Extraction is difficult and it's rare.
Extraction is difficult, yes, but it is a lot less rare than gold. The reason it is so expensive is that it can be used to make incredibly resistant lab equipment, and it is used to make catalytic converters for cars
Tungsten FTW
oh hard drives have metal discs inside them that are platinum coated worth about $1 each. But they have more gold in them as well.
Platinum is denser than gold so you use more material on a ring, right?
No.. You use more gold to get the gold contents the same weight as the platium contents.... Plat is heavier than gold..
Platinum is made up of atom if yes so why it is not in modern periodic table.😮
Your wrong.... Pl......is its tag for the table.
@@silverghost4206 pt**
Just think, he is using normal tools to move the platinum. Imagine he dropped a bit, or stole a tiny block. It's worth thousands of dollars!
gold and silver change color becuase it gets dierty all u need to do is clean it
Exactly.
