I’ve started shadow boxing daily. From free hand to 5lbs dumbbells. It has seriously changed my speed and power. So thank you for changing my game
I saw your videos and impressed. I mentioned I was a 58yr old out of shape. Cancer survier. And I haven't been trained jiu-jitsu for a good year. So out of shape with old injuries. Having knee surgery this January. Need your help Brother. I don't know boxing, but I have a half bag hanging up. I hit it for fun. But don't know how to really hit a bag. I'm trying to think differently. Having a hard time. But I'm 58 old.

I also don't know how I came across this Channel, but this is all I need to Watch, since I already been Training 1.3 Years and Lost 135 Lbs so far doing similar things that he is showing, alone at my House, but at a way LOWER Passed. Yes!!! That’s one of the biggest keys for me as a coach!!! Many people tell me that this or that is what’s wrong with them. Yet, when I see them move or do certain exercises, the way their body is shaped on top of seeing them move really tells me the truth and the root of what needs to be fixed!!!

Finally the answers to all my questions !!
My struggle is over in trying to combine explosive weight training with my Jeet kune do.
Now I can build muscle endurance, force, and muscle volume with my Jeet kune do.

@@wonforfour yes!!! I have way many more to come. I had to kinda slow down on the spiritual because the head can float away sometimes. Fighting and martial arts is what keeps me in my body. Lol

Don’t forget to add omega 3 fatty acids into your diet too! It is essential for cognitive function and life long deficiency increases risk for mental deterioration diseases like Alzheimer’s. The point about protein is so true too, you need loads of protein to build muscle!! Great vid, bud :)

Hello, good vid, I have question. Do you lift weights or do things like pull ups?
Now I mostly do Bodyweight exercise but it’s maybe 1x every 2 weeks. I mostly focus on weighted shadowboxing

Also, you didn’t mention vegetables, are they part of your diet? Why/why not?
This is more of a personal choice. Throughout my life I really haven't had any real benefit from them. I would get a lot of mucus as well after eating certain veggies. Once i dialed my foods down to certain meats and fruits, everything cleared up. It's a journey. I have some peeps that thrive off of veggies

Hello! Wanna ask if you train neck
I do but not so often. Maybe once every 2 weeks I’ll focus on neck bridges. Back when I was fighting amateur MMA I did a lot of weight work for neck by thing a kettlebell to a bjj Gi belt and biting down on the belt to lift the kettlebell. Similar to how thai fighters train neck.

Only weighted shadowboxing. I was really into high rep bodyweight training so a lot of my base is from basic push-ups, dips, pull-ups, bodyweight squats. I haven't had any bodybuilding workouts for at least 4-5 years

Yes!!! Back when I first began MMA, a lot of wrestlers couldn’t handle my boxing so they would take me down and ground and pound me!!! The team I was with had a lot of state champion high school wrestlers that helped me out a lot and my footwork actually came from a wrestlers. I’ll do my “Ali shuffle” more as a way to stuff takedowns and shoot in for takedowns. I don’t mention my ground game too much because I wasn’t decorated at all on wrestling or bjj. But, I won majority of my MMA fights from takedowns, ground control and submission.
