    In This video we will be showing you how to do a cop conversion on any car with a standalone ecu such as speeduino, Megasquirt, ecumaster, link etc. I show you what the difference between sequential and wasted spark ignition is and how to wire everything

    I have some nice oem Nissan cop’s that have a 3 pin connector (12v-ground-signal). Is there any reason it wouldn’t work because I can’t seem to get a spark when testing it outside of the cylinder.

    Can I run sequential on my 20v st with just my dizzy or would I need a crank trigger fitted?

      you can run sequential with just the distributor as that has two sensors integrated. i run it like this too

    But can I just somehow wire the plugs on a 1.8t to work on a wasted spark? With no ecu? I don’t want or need 100ft of wires and ecu can’t I just wire the crank sensor to fire the wasted spark ignition?

      I dont understand what you mean. You need an ecu to control your spark

      @@throttlebuddies0 well the older cars didn't use ecu, and I've seen that some can just use a crank sensor to send the signal so can't I just use the crank sensor 1.8t already has and wire it up to a waisted spark kind of like a crank trigger?

    how did you make the boot to cover the hole between the spark plug and the top of the coil pack?

      What exactly fo you mean i just put the coils on the spark plugs thats it

      @@throttlebuddies0 an other way to say it is how do you prevent water to not get in the sparkplug hole. but it seems like you didnt do any hardware mod to those coils so nevermind.i will have to try it myself on my engine to see if it fits

      there shouldnt get any water in there as the coils have a rubber seal

    Can I run cop on the distributor

    • @throttlebuddies0
      @throttlebuddies0  Месяц назад +1

      you can run the distributor for timing but you cant run cops from the distributor really as you only have a high voltage from the distributor.
      if you have a stock ecu you cant run COPs but on a standalone you can convert to cops no issues at all retaining the dizzy for timing purposes

      @throttlebuddies6356 I live in Meddle East, and it is hard to get standalone ecu
      The shipping fee will be high

      @@khaleedjbeer4186 i doubt it. standalones can be had for 200-300€/USD
      i live in europe which is not that far and shipping to there is not terribly expensive
