Looks and Aging wise, Nigel comes from one heck of a gene pool. Chariots is one of my top 3 favourite Movies of all time. I've probably watched it 50 times over the years. Mr. Havers, you are, as they say, very well preserved.
Nigel was at the same scary prep school I was at where he started his acting. I was there 10 years later & just missed being in the summer Shakespeare play. Every now & then I get bit parts in acting. He lived next to my cousin in Notting Hill (when he was still with Polly )so I got to meet him & we talked about scary Nowton Court & the Blackburn brothers & sister ( Charles, Neville & Betty) who ran the school. Also spookily enough he played my relative David Burghley known as Lord Lindsay in Chariot’s of Fire. A film that also features another relative Sybil Evers whose name was changed to Gordon. She married Harold Abrahams ( Ben Cross in the film). Nigel is a lovely chap.
This is not enough, I want to hear more - what a lovely person Mr. Havers is - and so sensitive - the initial revelation of "driver' shocked him. But frankly Mr. Havers, you're always a prince in our books - the push to cast you as lords was not done amiss, you truly fit that bill.
Nigel is a First Class Actor and lovely man, have always followed him, plays Dramas,I’m still hoping to see him in the future in Private lives ..All the Best Nigel..xx
It fascinates me to look back at old family photos. My dear old family photos look VERY different from Nigel's ! The class level is screaming. I recently traced my family back hundreds of years and nearly all of them lived on the poorest streets shown on Charles Booth's poverty maps. Over 300 years of East London proud beautiful earnest people.
Nigel and Georgiana made such a lovely couple. And he says he loves horses, fast horses (race horses he means). Wish he tries on polo, I am a polo journalist and very much into horses. I would like to do an interview with such a gentleman
He’s such a gentleman! Just love him.

Is it me, our did his father look like Richard Briers from "the good life"? What a thing!! I love these shows. So fascinating.
A Farewell To The King is a piece of cinematic GOLD. If you haven't seen it, you've missed something very special.

Great show. Hard to watch in order in these segments.
Richard Madeley is the love child of Nigel Havers and Roy Hodgson.
40% of the population was in service before WWI so the odds are everyone has at least one person who was not "Posh"
Honest person a driver
Would love to watch but too many ads

Good grief. His Great Granny is Boris Johnson (6:47).
Unlike most of us, he sure has kept his trim figure, what's his diet?
I came across somewhere that he has only one meal a day.
His great great grandma looks a bit like Boris Johnson in drag
@Elly May
I think you mean “grandmother.” And somebody has already made that inane comment.
Can’t you find something original to write?
Elizabeth Hamblion "Buckingham".
Nigel, you look a lot like John Locke!
Not his mother's side? Strange.
She looks like Boris Johnson in drag.
