I was last in Kingston in 2003, stayed in tryall heights Spanish town, in my 20s, at the time, pretty much wanting fun and being very explorative. Like yourself, I was not fearful of walking around, it truly is about how you carry yourself ! I had one incident where a Jamaican guy punched me on the shoulder walking through the shopping centre in Spanish town because I wouldn’t give him my attention however managed to get outa way and got off in the taxi . This was my only negative experience and have been numerous times. Jamaica is full of lovely friendly, loving people and what your doing is for the better of the good! Open the worlds eyes. Most places in Jamaica are not how people perceive them to be, media has a certain way of negatively capturing peoples minds. Keep up the good work and stay focused.

Kingston is safer and comfortable now compared to years ago. You can walk with your smart phones out now and enjoy all the vibes. Plenty of police out walking and patrolling the downtown area. I always ❤ kingston from the 80's until now . Carnival was real nice. I'm back in America now

For some vloggers, it is due to the youtube income it generates. Jamaica and the some other parts of the Caribbean do really well for the vloggers. Both the diaspora and locals patronize these types of vlogs heavily.
