Having tried the pliers with some snaps I bought in a kit, I need some advice. The kit has both open ring and solid buttons. The open ring ones sit securely in the cavity of the pliers but the solid ones don’t. They move about and don’t seem to fit inside the cavity even though they are supposed to be the same size as the open rings. Any help on how to secure them would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You have to squeeze them together very hard two they attach to each other properly. Other method you can try is to hammer them on. 😊👍🏼 I might make hammer popper video soon. 😊👍🏼

I've been doing exactly like you and have no problem snapping them together. My problem is that the side with the hole rips the fabric when I pull them apart. I've used an old cotton sheet and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It's only the side with the hole that rips the fabric. From what I can see, all the rings looks the same in the bag. I got it years ago from Lidl. I'm so sad that a baby drool scarf I spent hours on making got destroyed when I tried the snapping bc the side with the hole somehow made the fabric rip in an almost perfect circle. I also experienced the same thing previously when I tried to fix a multi-usage plastic rain poncho. I thought it was bc it was made of plastic, but now the same happened to fabric. I need to stop my phone falling out of my work trouser pocket while I’m working. 😂😂😂 I’ll refer to it again once my kit comes. Thanks again lovely.
Why don't make our pockets longer? Aarrgghh! I need to make own pants to have usable pockets! I also got this tool/snaps to keep my phone in my pocket.
I'm buying a pretty fluffy scarf that I need for a costume I'm making but these snaps are all I can find for it, you see I need to make an infinity scarf that fits properly and tightly (not too tight obviously😂) around my neck for it but I'm afraid I won't be able to use these with how fluffy the scarf should be and I'm using shein to get them, got any tips or ideas?
Think small snap poppers will disappear in the scarf- and it will be difficult to find poppers in the scarf. Maybe try large metal Sew on poppers- it will be much easier for you to find and close them. (Hope I understood your question right) 😊👍🏼
Just bought one of these it arrived today and no instructions 😅 so straight to RUclips I come 😂 thank you so much for this video you’ve saved me a lot of stress haha 🥰
I have tried so many times to do these and they never work neatly. The metal ones male side are fine. Plastic coloured and metal female side never works. Any suggestions ?
Hi Anita, I'm looking to buy a number of sets which each include a Top, a Spike and 2 Buckles. They would normally come with 'hand tools' - 2 long implements which I would decline in favour of the plier type you use. The spikes which I've seen don't appear to have teeth but I only see one side in the promotional picture. Does this sound right to you? Also, does that plier deal with tops up to 15mm? Thanks so much.

I need to stop my phone falling out of my work trouser pocket while I’m working. 😂😂😂 I’ll refer to it again once my kit comes. Thanks again lovely.
Aww- so glad it’s useful. 😊🙏🏼
Hope you can fix your trouser pockets for your phone. 😊👍🏼

(Hope I understood your question right)
😊👍🏼
Hi thank you for explaining🥰🥰 however, whenever i try to push hard it doesnt place it at all.

@@AnitaBenkocan you pry them apart and use them over again?
@@Chuncy566 unfortunately not. As spikes on a popper will be set. And it will be quite tricky to reuse them.

I have tried so many times to do these and they never work neatly. The metal ones male side are fine. Plastic coloured and metal female side never works. Any suggestions ?

Hi Anita,
I'm looking to buy a number of sets which each include a Top, a Spike and 2 Buckles.
Thank you for your comment. 😊🙏🏼
If you are ordering a plier and snap popper set- make sure it comes with right size snap popper nozzles. 👍🏼
(White silicone rings are the nozzles that are same size as snap poppers please see listing below):

Hope this is helpful. 😊✨
Ps. I never seen this type snap poppers to be 15mm.
Thank goodnes I looked at one of your other videos, Anita, as I've been looking at 'Metal Snap Poppers' for which I need those Prym pliers you demonstrate. It's all more complicated than I thought!
@@philiphughes3967 Prym pliers are the best. They are so universal- you can use them on so many different poppers. I love them. Definitely will fix on 15mm poppers.
Here is plier playlist so it’s easy to find for you:

Can the same plier be used for different sized snaps plz
Hey, yes you can use same pliers for any size snaps. Snaps and snap nozzles have to be same size tho. 😊👍🏼
Thank you for the info you discuss.

I reckon the thing which takes practice or judgement is the thickness of the fabrics ..for example put one on a demin pocket ,i doubt it those spikes would penetrate a demin hem ..p.s. great tutorial 😊
These poppers are definitely for thinner fabric. 😊👍🏼 for denim I would choose different poppers. I have tutorials for thicker fabric on my channel. 😊👍🏼 thank you very much 🙏🏼

Sorry, but I don’t understand your question? 🙈
Thank you, I just bought a very cheap kit for these from Aldi, and it didn't even have a flimsy piece of paper with instructions, it didn;t even say which part went with which pliers (it had 3)
Oh well, you can't expect much for €6 , if i would used these more often I would buy something better , but I use these about once every 5 years or less
You are welcome. Hope it was useful tutorial 🙏🏼🙂👍🏼✨🌞
Can you pry them apart and use them over again, and where would I see your reply at? On here or on my email I dont know?
Unfortunately it’s tricky to remove metal poppers after they are installed. But it can be done- also It can leave spike marks on a garment. And don’t think you will be able to reuse them again as spikes on a poppers will be set/bent. Hope this is helpful. 😊
Is this tools are good

Awww- that’s great. 😊👍🏼✨
I tried it and somehow failed first time round. I managed to clip them on, it’s just that they came of my top when I unclicked them. Not sure if it’s the clippers or me
Make sure prongs are attached securely. If they aren’t- they will come apart unfortunately.

OK LADY, haha. You have this to PERFECTION!! I have TWO pairs of the damn thing and about a MILLION poppers!! But they keep falling out of the damn holders in the pliers, OR only one frikkin side is secured, and it’s often the jaggy bit left in the fabric!! I thought it was the pliers, first set I bought were plastic, so bought a metal pair and same thing happened with them!! So it must be ME that’s faulty, not them! He-he-he-helllllllp PLEASE!!😫😫😫😫🤣🤣
Awwww no. Sorry to hear that. Maybe try hammer on method. I have made a tutorial on it too:

Oh they’re gonna get taken to with a hammer alright……!😳🤣I have tried that too, because I got filled in caps too, which had to be hammered into the ring before snapping it on. But even the simple jagged male post won’t connect with each other, nor just the simple plain jagged female bits. I’m gonna perceiver for the next TEN MINUTES, then it’s off to the bin they go, haha. But thank you so much for your reply, take care.
