Great video for a beginner like me. Finished making my dummy a week or two ago and this is just the kind of video I need.

Another great video Yunus! I’ve got my Fairtex dummy now, it’s awesome. You’re giving me plenty of ideas for drilling. Many thanks!

Just noticed something though; I can’t do the second technique! Lol. I can shoot my hips up without the dummy, but not when it’s sat in my guard for some reason. Weird. Though I am very old lol.

Paul Watt Thank you so much for your support! It might be the distance you might be too much under it. Also try doing those hip exercises in the channel. After some more control on your core you might find it gets easier. Please let me know how it goes!

@BJJ PUB - Hi man your content is great. I have a dummy arriving next week and my clothes rags are cut up and ready to stuff. Can I ask you though if you think it’s a good idea to stuff with PVC pipe with foam for the limbs or will the clothes rags be enough? I’ve been getting mixed reports on the way to stuff and need to know which way works best. Thanks brother.

Most fighters who try the second version, whether in NO Gi or MMA, end up with the guard passed... Roger Gracie always submitted in the basic version
