    I used to watch these guys every Saturday for years. I loved it when it was early on, now it just seems like the do insane builds with unlimited budgets. I love the older shows because it's practical and affordable projects that just about anyone could do

    Surreal watching the show when Chuck was still on there, cuz thats been a while. Seems like when Mike took over , things were pretty good, but then it seemed like there was some real tension and bad attitude toward Joe, from Mike. Anyhow, the show is a blast from the past, and reminds me when i was young :)

    Dang, 454 ci + s/c is only 330 at the wheels?! We’re sure spoiled nowadays, by comparison. Those figures with modern tech would be beyond pathetic.

      Yes, missing horsepower,

    • @dinkydotzero
      @dinkydotzero 2 года назад +1

      nope that was about it back in the day, It wasn't until heads got a lot better the numbers changed, ANd that 330 was through the transmission and full front drive, today it would have ran on a stand with an electric water pump and made mid 400s. But no one rides and engine stand so those numbers are meaningless

    • @hugieflhr03
      @hugieflhr03 2 года назад

      All before aluminum heads were common and this was the norm back then. A stock 454 isn’t going to rev like todays engines but I would bet that was pumping 600ft tq

      The wagon is losing about 100 horsepower thru the drive train! Should have put on better cylinder heads n camshaft!!!

    I need a truck but I'm not paying new truck prices.
    I'm going to buy a square body k10/20 and fix it up.
    Then drive it for a million miles over the next 30 years. I'll set the sucker up to run on straight ethanol and distill it myself if I have to if the hippies screw everything up and fuel gets too expensive.

    Why would you put a smaller carb on a blower motor? Guess we can tell who lines their pockets.

    • @afroman5531

      They don’t operate with an intercooler, feeds air from the top, compresses it in the middle, and dumps it out the bottom

    The lunatics in the Biden White House has gas prices quickly heading towards $10/gal. I am far more interested in bolt on gas mileage improvement than horse power. And I have already followed Obama's advice of putting air in my tires.

    • @tedjones450
      @tedjones450 2 года назад +3

      We can just use the hot air coming out of the Biden administration, that will fill every tire in America
