- In this episode of Wandering Wagners we visit one of our favorite RV Dealerships, Town & Country RV in Clyde, Ohio. They leave their RV's unlocked so you can freely look at RV's whenever you want, which is awesome and we love them for this! We wanted to see what's new out there, and ask ourselves, Would We Trade?

I have bought 2 travel trailers from T& C and been mostly happy with their service. That is until the one I bought 3 years ago, I had MAJOR leaks on slideout whether open or closed (water would pool inside under the TV and behind it in the bedroom). Had to bring it in for service, took them about 6 weeks to get to it after dropping it off, and I had to take it to a different dealer to get it fixed properly.
Yeah, we have never been a fan of any dealerships service department, that's why we almost never use them and just do things ourselves. Faster, and you know it's done right that way. If you have to get something fixed we always suggest going back to the actual manufacturer and avoid dealers
You did an awesome job on this video like always I agree that’s why my Salem hemisphere doesn’t have many windows in it. I don’t care if you have double pain or not you’re still going to get cold air in in the winter and then you’re gonna get warmer in the windows in the summer I had a 2015 Jayco Whitehawk I think I had it three years got rid of it because it literally fell apart. Cabinets were falling off the wall and the floor with separating. I was able to see the front pass through storage in the bedroom yeah I would not recommend Jayco. Keep up the hard work guys. Safe travels.

Our model year 2012 white hawk didn't stand the test of time either.

That diesel pusher was enticing because it could have fit in the garage haha
I really enjoyed this one, you guys look at rv's like Sue and I do. We've got a few different personal tastes but mostly the same things turn us off. On the other hand it's interesting how people change. I grew up camping in trailers, my grandparents started snowbirding in a 18" travel trailer until they graduated to a "huge" 25' sprinter 5th wheel. Meanwhile mom and dad took us in trailers from 18-25 foot. Then we went to a class c jamboree which was the "whole family camper" to me and the wife buying our 34' Bounder class A. Got sick of that and went to a 25" travel trailer we've still got now but we're wanting to go to a small couples 5th wheel.
I guess this is how these guys stay in business lol.
Haha right?! We all help keep the RV industry chugging with our changing wants and needs🤣 we are both pretty surprised we are both still happy with the Wraith after 3.5 years!
Looked at some used (Newmar, Jayco, Tiffin) units before we bought our Wraith. Most of them were ‘rode hard and put away wet’. RV upholstery isn’t known for durability and it shows on used units. Sitting on the front bumper in Class A’s is a non-starter for me, happy with our SuperC!
We absolutely love our Wraith! Mike has an obsession with having a class A someday. I'm less inclined for the reasons you stated😂 but hey you never know since marriage is all about compromise haha

We love our 2019 Thor Aria 3401. We have 50K+ miles on it already and spend as much time as we can in her as part timers. 😊
That's great to hear! We enjoyed that floorplan but... Didn't notice any washer dryer hookups. Did we miss them in a closet or something?

Another great vlog. Loveeed the reviews. As we say in uk.... giving your nose a treat... we don't get the toy haulers over here so much. 5th wheels have started to make it across the pond.
The Big Rigs need an HGV ( heavy goods vehicle) drivers licence, so not many people have them. The standard is 3.5 metric tonnes.. we have extended classes on the licence so can drive up to 7.5 metric tonnes. But over that it is HGV. So the globetrotter is great for us at 6.5.
Also the roads over here limit you...
Totally agree about the slide outs. This week some parts of UK are getting 50 to 70 mph winds. And driving rain... I really am unsure how a slide out would cope with that ??????

Slides are great when they work haha we've never had water get in through the slides but we have heard of others having water get in.

He's not allowed to do anything for a few weeks and that likely includes being a passenger so we are going to lay low
Mike, I agree with you air ride isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I see where the new Wraiths are on a Freightliner chassis pushers are a pain in the butt, if you breakdown it takes a specialized wrecker to get towed. I also don’t get why the refrigerator is so high in some of the newer models. I sure hope Mike gets well very soon!
Yeah that's one reason why we love the super c. It can be easily worked on and our truck dealership will work on it no problem. Class As are hard to find places to work on for the most part
My 🦄 12V fridge, big sink, convection MW, propane or half&Half stove. Table & chairs, TV across from theater seats, W/D, Li batteries, solar And genny, one demand Water heater. Super C or Class A Winter camping!

I have a farm style sink in my rv and love it
That would be really nice to have! Our current sink is pretty big and I love it. Plus it worked great to hide dishes when I'm doing a lot of cooking/baking😂

Mike and Lynn, I’m not seeing anything you looked at that would be worth trading your Wraith for. Most appeared to be good for summer weekends with the exception of the diesel pusher. With the year round trips you do, most of them would not handle the cold. Besides, you’ve made so many upgrades and modifications to the Wraith, I’d think a replacement would have quite a few boxes to check to be considered a worthy replacement.
We completely agree. It was fun to look but nothing caught our eye for us personally

Bigger sink. I wash in a basin on the counter and set the drying rack in my class C sink for drying.
Love a big basin! Probably because I cook and bake so much haha
I love walking through RVs but I limit them to class a and super Cs. BTW have had a fire place in our last 2 rvs ans its a must for us now. I agree about the fridge but this class a we bought I have a ac refer.
Maybe one day we have a fireplace🔥 for now we will just use our heaters🤣
It is so funny I literally just found your channel today. It was a recommendation from RUclips Based upon other channels I watch. The Jayco 32rlts is the model I am looking to purchase next year. Two weeks ago I saw that one on the Town & Country website. It was fun to watch you go through it. We used to have a Class A. Once we purchased out 2021 Wraith, we will not go back to a Class A. I really do prefer the Super C. We still need to do some of the same upgrades you did to yours.
We love our super c but Mike would still like to have a class a someday (for some reason🤣)
@@WanderingWagners To me they are kind of boxy and wallow. Don't get me wrong, definitely more room. One of the other reasons is we had to have our windshield replaced 2 times. No fault of ours. It was just sitting in the garage and cracked. Although in FL, they are considered under Insurance Comp, At $3600 each the insurance does not consider it comp and almost doubles your rates. Food for thought. That was a few years ago. I can just imagine what one would go for now. I hope all is well.
Definitely the double sink wash one side rinse on the other.
I always rinse in the same side of the sink, even growing up. One side was dry. Wash and rinse on same side, dry on other. Now I dry by hand and immediately put away haha different strokes!😁
Gotta love the AR storage too! Now if I was in the 5th wheel market I’d be all over that one.

Would you buy a Wraith again new or used? Do you recommend the upgrades to mechanics, suspension, electronics and sleepers?
We would buy a Wraith again, new or used, because we are capable of doing our own work on pretty much everything. If you aren't handy then I suggest buying used. We love all the upgrades we've done and suggest them all if possible.

Brought back pleasant memories of our 31’ Jayco Designer Series bumper pull that we also bought from Town & Country. We never towed it but had it placed on our lot in the Lakeside Community campground. It was deluxe and we “only” paid about $23,000. Praying for Mike.
We've purchased several RVs from this dealer. Love that they still leave RVs unlocked so we can have a fun afternoon here by ourselves🤣
We've had several Class A motorhomes (gas and diesel). many of the roads/campgrounds here are on gravel/dirt roads. I'm wondering if there is any advantage in clearance on iffy roads in a Super C vs. a Class A?
The advantage comes with the suspension... If there's liquid spring installed you can lift it up or lower it 3"in both directions and that helps a lot imo

Had an emergency surgery, but he's recovering well so far luckily!

Hey, Hope Mikey getting well. This last year or so I've had throat surgery stomach surgery colonoscopy endoscope minor neck surgery today I was at the eye doctors get my eyes checked out I'm tired of going to doctors this year I'll tell you I still have hand surgery and the rest of the stomach surgery to do that's why I've been on the sidelines too many lemon meringue pies that's what it is I'll take care😂

He has- that's just because of his stride after knee surgery went he was 13.

Okay yes, it's time for you to upgrade. May I recommend a 2024 Newmar Ventana 3507 DP. You will love the floor plan, huge shower, Freightliner or Spartan chassis with 380HP and 1150 ft/lbs of torque and if you go all electric you get the Oasis Chinook Hydronic heating and hot water. Newmar quality of second to none. We own a 2022 Newmar Ventana 3407 and it has been a superb coach.
Definitely not going to upgrade anytime soon with these prices haha
