Animal owners should stop calling their four-legged friends 'pets' because it's derogatory and patronising, comparable to the treatment of women before the feminist movement. That's according to the animal rights group PETA, who want them to be called 'companions' and also want the word 'owner' to be replaced with 'human carer'. Phrases like "flog a dead horse" and "kill two birds with one stone" should also be banned. As you've probably guessed, Piers was not a fan!

It was 1997, DreamWorks was a new film company. PETA wanted the company logo changed (it shows a boy fishing in the clouds) as it showed cruelty to fish......ughhhh. They were informed the boy was fishing for dreams.
Pet is not derogatory, pet is a shortened version of the Scottish word Gaelic peata which translates to tame animal so pet is not being derogatory. Pet could also mean little or small ( I got this from google )
as a wise man once said, any person that has an intense identification with the problems of groups that have an image of being weak, owned or otherwise inferior, themselves see that these groups are inferior; They would never admit to themselves that they have such feelings of inferiority themselves, but it is precisely because they have these feelings and see these groups as inferior that they identify with their problems.
OH god, we don't want to end up with hordes of angry 'domesticated' animals, calling for the deratory term 'pet, to be made a criminal offence. This world is getting worse by the day. We live in a world where there is a threat of WW3, super volcanoes, virus, etc, etc and westerns societies primary concerns are petty (non pun intended) trival terms such as callinga an animal, a pet.
i saw one the other day about whether or not we should ask a baby for consent before changing its nappy. some stupid woman was arguing that we should, she seemed convinced in it all

He does it to show just how unnecessary the conversation is. He brings on people who are spreading and pushing silly concepts who can't back up their statements. If they could, they would be able to stand their ground with their position in the conversation 😂😂 it's funny though because they always get flustered etc

Brace yourself. I recently found out that the USA governor contender of South Dakota by the name of Kristi Noem representing Donald J Trump, she brutally murdered her puppy called Cricket . She claims the dog was supposed to be a hunting dog and she could not train him. This sickens me to the core. She even shot her goat. These animals were helpless. 🙂↔️😒😪😪
They're not totally wrong about some of their points. But it's still typical pita to just say we're right because we say we're right and you have to listen or you hate animals. I hate the nasty deceptive stance they always take on topics.
