- Sky News host Piers Morgan says the public perceive environmental activist as “a bunch of annoying twerps” as their methods of protesting are affecting people's lives and alienating the public.
“What you are doing is alienating a public who might well be persuaded, because they show it in the polls, to come on your side but at the moment they think you’re a bunch of annoying twerps wrecking their lives," Mr Morgan said.
“The methods you are using, in my own opinion, are now damaging your cause, they are actually deterring the public from supporting you - why go and do these stupid things.”
“I’m talking about you being on a destructive mission to piss off the public … you are moral cowards, it’s easier to go and ruin an old granny’s day at the crucible.
“What kind of humanity would be left if people like you were the only ones left.”

Along with most things these days. If the government made it more viable to buy local products, I would. But under the current financial pressures, people are having to change their opinions to fit their circumstances. For example, a local dairy farm has started selling milkshakes which is great! However, it’s at double the cost of supermarkets. Considering we are in a cost of living crisis, and young people are struggling from pay day to payday, people cannot afford to pay more. Yet if we protest about these things, the baby boomers slam us. Nobody can win.

@@MegannRobertss true but the real issue is that the big supermarket chains set the price of what they buy off the farmers not the farmers, which means the farmers barely break even. The supermarkets then up the price of the product by a huge amount and people think it’s cheaper, that’s the reason many farmers are starting to sell their produce from the farm itself as they need to survive.
Just watch, they will escalate the madness by more than gluing themselves to things where they are inflicting bodily harm to complete strangers. And claim to be morally superior.
