I'm Canadian born and raised. The trans man swimming with 13 year old happened about 45 minutes from where I live and when I tried to explain to my parents the day that it was first uncovered and they thought it was impossible.
Language is part of what’s propping this up. If people started saying Man who identifies as a Woman (rather than ‘Trans Woman’) it would really help.
If people started saying "Insane man who identifies as a woman" that would really help too~

@@lisac1619 you are correct. I got confused about her (thinking it was a transgender woman). My main point was that she said sir without knowing the clerk’s pronouns when she probably would loose her mind if someone called her ma’am.
