I don't remember the names of my university professors, I have written them on the first page of their subject notebook in just case. I have trouble remembering names, I can tell a person where we first met, their family history (at least the parts they told me about), favourite food, hobbies, what we did x weeks ago, how they were dressed or their haircut but not the name. I even have nicknames for my colleagues like 'the one with the ex', 'roomba', 'japanese doll', 'tall with the beard', 'shorter with the beard', 'ginger with the beard' and so on.

This is a GOOD thing. Let me explain...
When I was young, people were usually quite hard to read. The criminally insane were virtually indistinguishable from normal people, so you had to be very careful when dealing with strangers. But now the really disturbed people advertise their insanity. They proudly just wear it on the surface for all to see. So it's really easy to teach your kids who and what to avoid.
This makes it easy to see who you should hire and fire. It's easy to know who to rent to. You can choose who to do business with, and who to ask questions. Heck, even when you can't physically see them (ie: you're dealing with someone online), you just need to check their signature or bio. If they've posted pronouns, you can simply skip past them and find a better use for your time.
This phenomenon is common in the natural world too. These are the neon multi-colored reptiles, fish, and insects that all the other animals just KNOW are toxic. They advertise it for all to see and avoid.
