My arms/hands fall asleep while I'm actually sleeping it wakes me up. I reposition and the feeling comes back. What nerves am I pitching? Any exercises for this or reverse nerve damage possible?
I am overjoyed that I stumbled across your videos! I’ve suffered with chronic back neck, shoulder pains for a number of years. I’ve seen numerous doctors hours of physical therapy, and given gallons of blood x-rays, CAT scans, MRIs, no answers. Your three videos I’ve been doing daily for the trapezius, rhomboid and lats have been life changing for me!!! Not one professional have recommended these simple actions. I am deeply grateful that you have shared your knowledge, and that I found it! God bless you!
Do you do all 3 videos one right after the other? My case sounds like yours except now from all this dysfunction I have a torn tendon in by rotator cuff, both sides. I know strengthening will help, no one can figure out my issues either. Now it’s getting clnvoluted.
It is creepy how these release as soon as I pull these exact muscles. I just recently pulled this muscle by simply taking out a heavy trash bag. Getting old is awesome. Im very thankful that I was turned on to this channel!
It's easy to tell these doctors on youtube who are just in it for the view and want people to buy their programs and really don't care about helping people This guy is definitely NOT one of them, It's easy to see that he genuinely cares for helping people, doesn't try to sell you a bunch of junk you don't need and give clear and effective advice Well done Sir!
I've had this pain for years. Been to the chiropractor and the medical doctor. Nothing. A muscle relaxer that made sleepy and thirsty at the same time. So I very sleepily had to keep drinking water all night. This simple exercise has helped me so much. Thank you so much.
You have No Idea how much you have gave me hope. I've been to the hospital and the doctor tried explaining what's wrong, but I was in so much pain, I can't remember what I have. But I have exactly what's happening here. Exactly I feel with my dog. He pulled me down a slight slanted hill and I feel right off the ground like a checked Hocky player. My arm broke the fall, but went straight out above my head horizontal. I fell smack right on my left side, shoulder and side but my shoulder, ball cup, whatever. The doctor said it was only muscle in that aria. Thank you Doctor. YOU'VE been such a God Send...
Did your chest hurt too with the injury because the position my arm was in when I got this injury was the exact same as yours and I’m dealing with pain in my left pec
I have had a similar stabbing sharp pain when lifting my arms above my head occasionally. Doesn't happen every time though. It's from an old snowboarding Wipeout that caused some shoulder trauma and might've hurt my neck a bit. Now I'm having problems with pinched nerves in my neck and whenever I use my lat muscles to the point I can feel the work, it always makes the nerve pain worse. So I'm doing mobility and strengthening exercises to work on my thoracic and cervical spine, and all the muscles that aid in shoulder movements. Noticeable results very quickly. Chiro twice a week, and exercises every second day and stretches and mobility movements every day sometimes twice
I TOO feel a stabbing pain there and it has been like years for me too. Earlier i used to think that it may be caused due to an internal injury or something but since the pain used to fade away i never really deeply looked into it. But today i analysed the muscle where i had the pain and now i know that its just cramping. Cant wait to never feel it again.
I spent years with intense pain under my shoulder blade. I watched dozens of videos and got no help from my doctor. After noticing a lot of deferred pain in my lower body that I got relief from, I wondered if this could be the issue with my shoulder blade. So I went hunting with the lacrosse ball and wamo!!!! This side of my lat under my arm had a massive lump in it that felt like lighting striking when I rubbed it. Very much like beginning of this video shows. It took several weeks to flatten it out and relive the intense pain just touching it, but man, life is good now. Oh how I wish I would have bumped into this video years ago.
My shoulder blade pain caused lat and arm pain too. Releasing the muscles with tennis ball really does wonders before going into the actual exercise. Thanks a lot doc. 🙏
I've had a variety of symptoms that caused rib joint pain under my lower scap, constricted breathing, mid back pain, shortness of breath and anxiety. This has lasted for 3 years. I would get pain flare ups whenever I went for a swim, did heavy pulling exercises, I would get spasms all night. Who would have guessed this muscle is responsible for breathing.... I refused to go on damaging muscle relaxers. After all my years searching for a cure. I have finally found a video that offered me relief.. Using the lacrosse ball to pin point the Lats is much better than using a foam roll. Strengthening and reactivation is what will cure the body. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I have had a similar issue- the inability to take a deep breath is the worst and the accompanying pain is terrible. Doctors treat me like I’m crazy, but It definitely feels mechanical. Hopefully I get some relief using these exercises
This channel is simply excellent, with crystal clear, comprehensive guidance throughout. Would it be possible to include some help for pain on the top of the foot and the shin area ? It would be so helpful for keen walkers like me.
I’ve had massive problems with my right Lat and last week I was gutted when couldn’t find a video from you for Lat problems, and here u are with the video. Bless man 🙏🏼 can’t wait to try these
Had a previous back injury and recovered but now the stabing pain is back. Just by doing the first excerise with the tennis ball relieved some pain thanks Doc! Great channel!
I dislocated my shoulder in the most bizarre way (my arm went down under my armpit and ended under my clavicle instead of going forward or backwards) and I've been dealing with this exact same pain for a year...the first one with the ball...Man, I love you! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Dr. Rowe. The back pain I had was really a problem but after doing your program here now the pain is gone. Boy, do I love your workouts for relief and healing. You are a gift to all!!!
I don't normally make comments on RUclips, but I wanted to thank you for sharing this valuable solution. Now, a blue-collar worker like myself can endure for a while longer. 👍 Subscribed and looking forward to seeing your future videos.
I must express my immense gratitude to you Doctor for resolving my lat muscle issue even before I had to resort to painkillers. Thank you so much for your guidance and expertise. God bless you🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for this video. I hurt my back yesterday working out hard-core and I've tried all morning to get relief with various stretches. These are the only ones that have helped. ❤
This is really good! I’ve pulled my left lat, can no longer do pull ups or any rows. These stretches and releases are amazing! I shall keep making the time to do them daily.
This video saved my @$$ from weeks of pain. I stopped working out due to the pain, it stopped after letting it heal, started up my workout routine again, and the pain started coming back. Did this stretch, and it helped like immediately. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you so much for your content. I really love your channel. This video is very timely. I have been having posterior arm pain for two weeks and despite what I was doing, I had no relief. These exercises have made a big difference. Thank you!
wow. really thank you. searched and searched until i found this and its the only thing that has worked. and instantly provided relief. again thank you.
Thank you so much! I had no idea this was my issue. Been using one of those vibrating guns on it (so hard to reach) every night and the pain kept moving to a different area. It's been driving me crazy! Finally I am feeling a bit of relief. I used to do a form of the strengthening stretches when I did yoga - need to get back to that too.
I fell asleep in a bad position & woke up with acute pain on the right upper lat dorsi. These exercises definitely provide a wonderful stretch 🙏🏻 Thank you
SO MUCH RELIEF ON DAY 1 ITSELF, had hurt my lat muscle doing a heavy dead lift about a decade ago, struggled with this pain every single day. I hope it disappears. A Big Thanks🙏 Doc
Day 2:- My lats getting more blood flow and getting stronger all around. Although there was pain last evening after a 2 hour motorcycle ride. But it’s getting better
if you only knew how much youve helped the quality of my life by offering these exercises and stretches. I am truly grateful for you. Please move to Central Florida :)
As a UPS driver, this is the gospel. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve dealt with this and had no idea when and where to pinpoint when it happened. Super annoying. I guess it’s time to implement better posture as well as strengthen up these weak-ass lats I’ve been carrying around. Thank you for the exercises as well as stretches.
I was wondering what is the best recommendation for an office chair for people with general back pain and sciatica pain. Thank you so much for making these videos.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Had this pain right under the shoulder blade. Right out of nowhere for about 3 weeks. Could not get rid of it. The algorithm showed me this and gave it a shot. Not even 30 sec in and the pain is relieved. Going to do it again when i get home too with a tennis ball. Thanks alot, going to the doctors was definitely about to be the next on my to do list.
Great video, great information. I had a seizure not too long ago & messed up the latissimus dorsi muscle. It has been so painful! I started watching your videos to attempt some home pain relief & it’s been working good. Thanks for the videos!
Oh my gosh I’ve had this exact severe pain in my back for the past year. It’s from toting my son around on my hip (only on the right side as I’m right handed) now that he’s walking I was hoping the pain would go away but hasn’t yet. I can’t wait to try these! You are the best!!
I had a microdiscectomy done few months back due to slipped disc, its been 10 months but haven't recovered, still in acute phase apparently. Recent 4 months, my latissimus dorsi have been extremely tightness, pain and shooting down to my arms and fingers. Thanks for your sharing, now I know this muscle is connected to 2/3 of back muscles, which includes the surgery site. Will start doing these exercises from now on.
I could never identify that pain , i thought it was part of my shoulders. Now i know where that pain is from , my chiropractor focused on my shoulders and neck instead. Thanks and those exercises will always be part of my pre-workout routine from now on .

Anything for sit bone and tailbone pain? I have old injuries in which the pain is harder to manage now.
Anything for removing knots in the infraspinatus? I sit a desk all day with my arms out and get headaches. Apologies if this was already done.
