[China Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive Train C2]
This is Xingyang Brickworks Railway in China Henan.
21-22.February.2011
※Unfortunately,This Railway was abolished in July 2011.
I love the last shot. Two generations of trains passing by each other. Its quite a contrast.
the last image of the bullet and the steam together is epic
Wait until they discover 0-6-0 diesels
This type of locomotives according to Soviet project P24, were produced in Poland (Fablok Chrzanów) under the designation Kp4 in an amount of 87 pieces for China in 1951-59
What a rickety wreck! I love it. Those tracks and their bed adds a lot to the whole scene.
And to all who do disrespected low paid dirty jobs.
The acceleration on this thing is unreal, look at that little engine go!
I notice they still have track walkers in China, or at least they did in 2011. It's nice to see the human aspect of railroading still in use there with not so much automation. Notice the guys riding the clay cars, ready to apply the brakes. The locomotive must be ancient, even back then. It still gets the job done. Hard working people. Nice to see.
It was in my hometown. When I was a kid (around 1990), I took this kind of train(sit on the top of clay) to my grand mother's home in the Chinese New Year days....the 建材厂 made bricks by clay and the clay is from around 7 or 8 kilo meters nearby a mountain area. The factory digged really big and vast valley for the clay...I tried to go to the 建材厂 years ago. It was closed for a very lone time.
Outstanding vid! Crazy to see the old train flying down those uneven rails.
I love the contrast between old China and New China with the passing bullet train.
Andy Petrovich I think those were made in he post war era

4:53 you should get some kind of award for that shot

Something about this just warms my heart.
Reminds me of that old children's story about The Little Train That Could: "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..."
This was absolutely terrific, love these narrow gage locos, thanks for posting
Wow, great little loco. Working real hard. And a good ending.

What a beast.
I liked how they kicked those cars loose at the switch, too.

This line located near my home in Xingyang, I used to see these old trailers moving around everyday when I was on my way to high school. At that time I couldn't even speak mandarin😂
Hi Tengyu Ma, southwest USA here. I would be very interested to see your country.
Hope the year has been good to you.
Great shot at the end. Bullet train whizzes past, over a modern bridge while the Chinese brick factory train chuffs away below. GREAT train driving (you rarely get to say that.....) love the way the driver does a half throttle clutch drop at the switching station.

谢谢你的视频 ruclips.net/video/fzmfIJNS9ns/видео.html ))))
there were railways for specific usages like this here and there in 河南省Henan Province back in the days, i myself have explored one when visiting my hometown one spring festival. It's shame i haven't seen one locomotive running on those rails back then. Thanks for the precious footage!
Love the contrast at the end, old China below, new China speeding by above! Nice.
I'm stoked to see the two eras of railways together.
They're atleast four eras apart
Steam >> diesel >> electric >> bullet train
I hope some of the steam locomotives are still active when maglev train become mainstream
Great shot at the end - the 19th century meets the 21st century!
What an irony, the video starts off with a locomotive that personifies a advent of railway tech and ends with one that personifies current state of the art. The end was totally unexpected. Superb video thanks for sharing
Thank you for uploading. The last second, showing the bullet train vs Old locomotive, is a great shot.
This is where they send all the dissidents to the clay works.....
Crazy how some beat up old steam loco working in a brickworks still sounds so good.
A nice touch at the end. Change is the only constant. Once a modern technology and convenience, the narrow gauge steam train is on it's way out. It looks tired and worn out. Probably heading for a museum
Yeah the bullet train is gorgeous (along with the architecture), but that little loco, the goods cars and the points are magic.
wow, wow, wow! So cool! Thanks a lot for the video!
Wonderful video showing comparison between steam era and jet era and off course bridging the era at same instant. Thanks.

I love the sound of the old ones.. :)
That end shot was so drastic, it's great that you caught it on camera.
It’s nice to see that there are some Fully Operational & Commercial Steam Railways in the world.
Koszalin operates a narrow gauge railway for actual transport purposes, tho they look much better than this.
I think this is the best rail video on RUclips! Thank you for making and sharing. Perfect! Favourite! Seb
This is a historical video of Chinese industrial railroading. I am going to save and download this piece of history. Thanks to whom ever you are, this was first rate.
absolutely skilled driver, awesome to watch
the final shot is amazing!
Welk555 .
What a wonderful little locomotive. Perfect for a private 'backyard' railroad. Nice shot at the end showing the technological contrast.
now i understood working of a train in simplest manner
That looks like fun ! Sporty litlle steamtrain
amazing video! this train is working so hard.
Homeboy kicked that line of cars nicely... Amazing how fast he switched back to Forward? That usually takes a minute or several seconds - 2:37 I hope they *preserve* a couple of these little steam locomotives with their tiny little drivers?
Fantastic!
Thanks for sharing this and all of your other videos of steam trains in China, some of which are gone now. Modernizing is great and it brings many blessings, but the toll sometimes is that fewer people get to work together and an interesting way to get around goes away from us. It happens everywhere. It is sad that someone didn't think to purchase the railroad, clean it up and make it better, and offer it as a great way to travel! Thanks anyway for sharing with us a part of you and your home.
great shot....i have subscribed your channel
Pratique et très efficace, belle vidéo. Merci.
the ending was superb....steam and crh together!!
The whistle of this locomotive is an ALCO 5 Chime.
Perfect. I don't know why some doofus would give you a "dislike" for a shot with steam and high speed rail at the same spot?!?
Fascinating, Many Thanks.
I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
Original video, with an old locomotive and on the final the modern bridge! Two ages in one video; Greetings from France!
Great Video RailKing & Thanks for Tour the Clay
Its nice to see that old equipment moving, but i pity anyone near it when a catastrophic failure *happens.
Actually, we do the exact same thing in Western Australia, only we cal it, "fly shunting".
Yes, we wear our high vis clothing at the same time. LOL. It gets interesting, if there's a faulty brake or the brake pipes leaked air, and the brakes don't work properly when we go to stop the consist after such a shunt. Witnessed more then one container spilling it's load after the doors blew off from such an impact. LOL.
*Very nice. Thank you from Vietnam!*

Very nice movie. 5*****+ favorite.

i love the final of the video, where this old steam-loco struggles below the bridge and the train speeds through the scene on the bridge.

Great scene and camera work! Very nice video! Greetings from Italy. Ciao, Stefano.
China was one of the last countries to run steam locomotives Africa also kept them a long time!
great capture at the end - freight train/bullet train in the same scene
Klasse!
Fabulous shots - great idea at the end to show the old with the new
Very cute a little train
Very nice video :-)
Amazing video. Very nice.
absolutely, thats one of the most contrasting things you get to see in railway vids...
Awesome video.
Me Gusta!!! Saludos desde Argentina
I like this little engine; and the fast train above was a bonus!!! thanks
Awesome video. Thank you for posting. Is this 2 ft gauge?
+railrunner01 Most there would be meter gauge.
Great video and neat little locomotive! Thank you.
This engine is Polish Kp4.
@@eo-qf8ey: Thanks for letting me know. I like it!
@@wrightflyer7855 These locomotives were first manufactured in the USSR, then licensed in Poland, Finland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. The ones from Poland were also exported to China and North Korea.
@@wrightflyer7855 In Poland, these locomotives worked in Sugar factories in Ostrowite, Brześć Kujawski, Kruszwica and in the Lime Industry Plant in Sulejów
People who were not able to choose saving a precious locomotive as an "industrial heritage" will repent someday.
Take it they were all scrapped then?
Superb videos !
Such tiny wheels compared to the rest of it and neat seeing the modern train pass overhead
Que bueno el final...
Excelente...!!!
why do i love steam engines so much
we shouldn't. because of air pollution
@@redding4540 the coal burning in that train is the least of your pollution problems. Especially considering 2/3 of Chinese steam turbine power plants burn plastics as fuel.
@@redding4540 some of that "smoke" is steam knucklhead.
@@Alex-uy7pc come again? 😂😂😂😂😂 least concern? Which country is the biggest concern during The Montreal Protocol? China! Which country emits the most hydrocarbon? China! Which country is one of the polluted nation? China! oh yeah...that steam is a form of hydrocarbon and sulfur dioxide. you thought it was pure water vapor? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

What a great video. Be well.
What a great video.. Most enjoyable
What a shame to lose such a wonderful machine.
Thank you for posting!
👍Like videos with trains. Thank you.
That looks like the most unstable locomotive in the entire universe. But still looks useful, hardworking and gets the job done.
The cute driver wheels!
I wouldn’t be caught anywhere near that rust bucket of a locomotive for fear of a boiler explosion! No way...
Nifty little loco! Great ending to the video, a pro film team coundn't have done better.
Nice flying drop
