Fahnbulleh knew based off of lairds first 100 that it wasn’t likely he was gonna keep pace for the last 100m (that would have been WW pace) so he turned thre corner and gunned it, caught him at the end. 9.52 second 100m!?!? Very impressive
These races are so entertaining!😤🔥🔥
Joseph Fahnbulleh! Crazy stride lengths. Sustains his top end speed too. What a fun ride he and Coach Holloway will have.
Shaun has improved drastically in the 200m this year. He went from a pb of 20.3 to 20.1 . I guess he just has to work on his endurance.
I fully agree with you Onkgopotse - Our boy Shaun Maswanganyi , Mzanzi's ( South African ) 20 year old Houston freshmen got loads of talent and potential . He got a great start and excellent pace - was leading both the 100m( he beat Laird in the semis - finished 2nd in the final ) and 200m finals ( finished 3rd in the final ) but got caught near the finish line. He is coached by Carl Lewis - once his endurance ( top end speed maintenance is sorted ) he will be a world class sprinter in the not too distant future.
@@godfreysampson6432 Indeed, if he can maintain his top end speed, he will be a huge threat to these guys in the 200m. We already know he's a threat to Laird in the 100m... can't wait to see him at Tokyo this year, I hope he will be part of our relay team😁.
I expect GREAT things out of those top 3 in the near future. Great things!!!
Terrece Laird 44 strides last hundred meters. 7 foot 5.4 inches a stride. Joseph Fahnbulleh 37 strides. 8 foot 10.3 inches a stride. Insane. 2.27 meters and 2.7 meters.
Just shows how crazy lairds turnover is. He has great stride frequency while joe has stride length. Both utilize their strengths to their advantage
Laird has reached his peak. Fanbulleh has a lot of untapped potential. Raw speed
Could you imagine when he figures out that start 🤯
I like the sportsmanship at the end congrats kid you have bright future
I know it has to suck that some of these top-rank athletes do not receive the same exposure, credit, or even mention how others get. Real fans of the sport know what I mean
Lol I was wondering why they were talking about 22 year old Matt
Its USA they have nasty athletes every year.
Yup, not everyone benefits from the same privilege. But at least unlike the music industry the times and talent speak for themselves so the best will rise to the top eventually
I think everyone is happy fir this young man
I did my thing, I won, that's it 😂🤙
I remember seeing this guy at our sections freshman year, crazy to see someone from MN out here
Joseph Fahnbulleh takes just as many strides as Usain Bolt to finish the 200m race. (I counted 80 for both), compared to Laird who makes about 93. If only he increases his cadence a bit.... Sky is the limit for this kid.
My goodness that was fast. What a contrast in styles and both are outstanding.
Bro has so much power at his top end speed
It literally looks like he’s jogging with those strides and that bounce, tons of power in each step.
This young man is capable of breaking 200m record..
calm down bud
No.
@@cristagalli8684 you just said no...based on?Your argument facts?

@@menelisimabandla606 bruh why you actin like I çare?
WOW What a Loaded Field this was: Laird, Boling, Fahnbulleh, Maswangany... congrats to Fahnbulleh!
Great race... greater young man!!!
What amazes me is that each guy is super competitive- they go into finals with the mindset to be 1st!!! And yet give respect when another man wins- kudos to these men… that video should be called watching greatness… USA OLYMPIC team hit some kids coming out THATS gonna be hard to reckon with…. In the 100 & 200
Georgia ain’t doing Boling justice, he should be sub 20 outdoors considering his indoor time from this year when he beat Laird.
lol I just commented this...makes no sense. 20.19 indoors = sub 20 outdoors. Period
he peaked too early. all their sprinters did. godwin ran 44.7 at sec and 46.1 at natty’s
@@aldenwheeler6458 weather
He was at GA during the indoor though, maybe he's just worn out i mean he ran his slowest 200m of the season in the finals
@@khafail6902 the only thing that equals under-20 Outdoors, is actually running under 20. There's no calculation requirement. Give him time, perhaps next year. Right now he's just not fast enough to go under 20
This dude has so much potential it’s insane
Boling gotta transfer, there's no reason for him to not be running sub 20 outdoor.
He could have easily been going through injury this season and we wouldn’t know lol. Simply transferring doesn’t solve everything
@@Mjmj101 Terrible coaching. Literally his form hasn’t changed all season. He runs so stiff
@@pink3918 his form hasn’t changed in his entire life. I understand it’s not perfect but people are acting like Georgia is the reason for this😂
It makes no sense. Boling's blistering fast 20.19 from indoor should've easily translated to a sub 20 clocking outdoors. I predicted a high 19.8 from him outdoors but it didn't come to fruition obviously. I'm with you on the transfer though, hope he goes to Houston next year, he should've never left his home state of Texas in the first place
humidity is a monster my friend. the conditions that they were running in were not favorable for a sprinter . he is learning but im sorry fahnbulleh and ol dude from houston are the future after laird leaves
It's amazing how he stay focus
This is scary he doesn’t even realize how fast he is 😳
Watch out world, here comes Joseph Fahnbulleh.
Every two of my steps is Fahnbulleh's one it look like he about to triple jump every stride
With an improved start this young man will be unbeatable! Get that right and the WR is up for grabs.
i am wondering if terrance laird peaked to early or is it just the fact that he had to run too many races prior to the finals.
Plus they are built different physically maybe that had something to do with it also.
I'm thinking the same thing about Laird KR, he has ran an awful lot of races this year..
Probably both.
Did Joe run the 4x100 too ? If not that could be the reason . I think joe only did 100 and 200
This kid is going to be a star
Lesss goooo shaun maswanganyi 👊🏾🇿🇦
So happy for Fahnbulleh, great talent
Why is Matthew Boling featured before the race? Also, why is Boling's 5th place finish listed in the description?
Because it’s not that often that you see a white dude that fast. He comes with a buzz so they satisfied the viewers.
He has a big media following, the other guys dont so its easy clickbait, way of youtube tbh
I thought the same thing. So much hype for a guy that was inconsequential in the actual race
U know why 😂 clout, white guy, and click bait. In that exact order.
The Media Hype.....Boling may never live up to the hype. Time will tell.. ..
I wish him luck.....
Fanbulous is vengeance on the 200m. Happy for him.
Joseph Fahnbulleh
They should name a Ford or Chevy truck after Fahnbulleh! What a machine! Everyone bags on this young kid's stride, but It definitely works for him.
ESPN really thought Mathew was going to win this race 😂
Doubt it.
Why the hate? The dude is impressive and honestly what is messing him up is running for Georgia
L H there is no hate but why showcase Mathew when he didn’t win his semi heat, he didn’t have the fastest preliminary time and no one thought he was going to win this race, with all that being said I think Mathews a great runner and the sky’s the limit but ESPN was betting on the wrong guy
True that. I think they really wished he did but Laird is they guy and now Fahnbulleh.
He would be a very good quarter-miler, and possibly a decent long jumper.
Nice display of sportsmanship after the race. Laird will have to repeat his 19.81 to beat Fahnbulleh!
Amazing race from Fanbulleh and Laird, but are we not going to talk about how Dan O'Brien pronounced Usain Bolt as "ooh-sain" Bolt?
Husain Bolt
🤣
That’s the correct pronunciation
@@peterd1623 ain't it you-sain
@@swayambadhe that’s what I say but I think that’s just the American accent.
That damn stride length!!!! Reminiscent of Bolt if he can relax that torso
And remember he's only a freshman.
Think about what he could do as a junior/senior, or even older
He's already 23 they said.
