Thanks for the information on the neutral safety switch I'm going to look at a 3600 that hasn't been ran in a few years and it's good to know these things
I brought my used Ford 3000 and the safety neutral has been by passed. I want to fix it and this helped me understand how it works and gives me some trouble shooting ideas - thanks.
Hi! Thank you for the video. I have a 3000 not starting. Starter went out. I replaced solenoid and ignition switch when I put in the new starter, now it cranks and cranks but will not fire. Yes I have gas in it too. lol. How were you able to diagnose that this safety switch was the culprit? I am hoping this is my issue as well
On these old tractors, they have been in the same place for so long, they are shaped. just put them back the way the look like they go. Check it before putting all of the bolts back in. If it wrong, swap it.
Just got a Ford 3600 dropped off and no one told me Neutral Safety Switch was not working..
Not good, thanks for this video!!

Glad I could help
I bypassed my neutral safety switch 50 years ago on my Ford 801 tractor
Did you have to use silicone on the shift plate where the neutral switch is located? What kind?
I wanted to see how to get the shifter posts back into the gears when replacing the plate. I’m having trouble with that.
can you tell me what wiring harness i need for my Ford 3000 gas engine tractor -
