How to fix a propane ford 600 tractor regulator.
That aluminum canister on the steering column is for either pills.
Keep it up Doc!!
Freezer Camp!! Take it from this old farmer, that's the way to stack hay!
These guys should get you sorted www.steinertractor.com/brand-massey-harris
Waiting on that D! When we were much younger growing up on the Eastern Shore of MD, a person that ran a D had a nice tractor!
Run copper from the fuel bowl to the first filter, it will eliminate collapse fuel lines. When that tractor was built there was no ruby red diesel fuel, it was number 2 fuel oil and it was not clean by any means. Always filter the fuel at the tank before adding it to the tractor tank
HI DOC 😊😊 any seals or O RINGS that need 2 be replaced do so when the tractor 🚜 😊 is a part or U will be pulling back a part again 2 do so 😮😮 OMG 7 26 2O24
U 😊😊 have 2 power wash the tractor 🚜 😊 until its clean get all of the dirt grit grease and oil off and it also needs 2 be sand blast it U want the tractor 🚜 😊 clean enough 2 eat off the dirt will so through if U don't and U have 2 use good tractor 🚜 😊 cheap paint won't work it will fade 2 a another color and it won't look good at all and the paint has 2 mixed right 👉 😊 so there won't be any paint runs U have 2 take your time when painting U want it 2 look good if U don't U will be repainting it again and U will be saying more than momma 😮😮 OMG 7 26 2O24
HI DOC 😊😊 most likely the injector pump is stopped up W trash and the old diesel fuel has turn 2 jell 😮😮 that from setting no body flushed the fuel tank unless a screw is broke in the injector pump IVE heard of that be 4 /2 and the veins most all stopped and its not no diesel fuel at all its not going 2 run either 😮😮 the best thing 2 do is turn the engine over by hand and get it where it needs 2 be be 4 U take the injector pump off it needs 2 rebuilt and cleaned out injector pumps don't like trash or water 💦 😮 either U can tell when water is in diesel because it looks like milk 🥛 😮 /its not going 2 run like that either 😮😮 OMG 7 26 2O24
Now thats a new old one 🇺🇸🤔
The '37 D is a basket case? Huh? I've brought home tractors in 5 gallon buckets and I thought they were basket cases. That D is pretty complete as far as I'm concerned.
Nice purchases! I'm a JD guy, I'd like to see the restoration on that and the Massey!
I'm a new subscriber to your channel Doc. Love the classic tractors and seeing you bring them back to life.
Dude, that is one hell of a deal. I bought one 8n a few years ago for $300 and I got another recently for free. Which is a great deal in my opinion. But a 1939 John Deere for $150. Just wow. I bet one of the front rims sells for that. Call Steiner Tractor out of Lennon Mi for the radiator. They may be able to help you out.
Midland diesel service in Fargo ND is very good
If you know how to take that pump apart might be worth trying to clean it out before getting it reconditioned. Might be blocked with dirt, or maybe it hasn't and will need expert reconditioning.
Great Deal on that model D!
the injector pump needs 2 be rebuilt and most likely the injectors need 2 be as well they haven't been rebuilt either /that John deere have U checked other places or a tractor junkyard most likely it needs 2 be recorded is the only way 2 fix the right way and have it boiled out also so U know its clean not dirt trash or rust in it either 😊😊 OMG 7 13 2O24
The fuel tank has two sections. Is this a distillate fuel tractor?
I'm not sure it could be distillerant it might be kerosene or my grandpa used to talk about a fuel called power fuel which was a mixture of gas and kerosene
Good find there on the JD. Tin looks straight. Probably was taken care of most of its life. Like someone mentioned, the radiator can be boiled first then recored if not successfully ( boiled out) by the looks of it. They will probably boil it out to get it flowing and then if successful, check any leak problems to see if its fixable. Used ones are out there too. Great job on saving the old gal. I would definitely check compression on both sides early off.
That's a great save on the '37 D! Can't wait to see what you do with it. $150 is a great deal and you're right, a scrapper would have ended up with the tractor and that would have been the end of it. Now it has a second chance at running again. Thank you, Doc! 🚜 👍
Alliance Wrecking and Salvage in Alliance,Ne. may have a radiator for that tractor, and other parts as well?
Steiner tractor parts
You might be lucky someone will come along and buy it off of you and save you thousands of dollars she's rough.😊
Good deal Doc 👌
Good morning. Great video…as usual. As for changing the oil….unless the dipstick shows an excess of liquid or signs of contamination…fuel, water, antifreeze, your best bet is to run it as is (for a short period) instead of wasting good oil. If you have any doubts, you can always loosen the drain plug and catch a dipper of whatever is in the oil pan and have a look at it and smell it for diesel. As for the J.Deere….really good deal. Actually, a steal. I think that if you take the old radiator (with all framework) to almost any radiator repair shop, they’ll completely replace the core like new….and most of these places love a challenge like this and they’ll be reasonably priced. Keep us updated. Thanks again…Mac
Got your work cut out for you with that one. Hope you guys have a good machine shop for the cylinders and the crank, probably gonna need sleeves, pistons, rings and crank work at the very least.
Diesel services don't fix it
Check if you are getting fuel the pump and then check if the shut off valve is working and if that all is good the you can take the pump and take to someone that works on them to have pressure test
awesome to see you back again doing videos 😄
There’s a company that other UTubers use that specializes in diesels. Area Diesel Services they are in Indiana. They may even collaborate with you. Best of luck Doc
Dan look up Tractoman44 he plays with these tractors.
Does crazy Dave have facilities to pressure test the pump on a bench, or on the starter motor. Take the injectors out and see if they are all atomising the fuel. Make sure there's no rubbish in the line and the pump is properly bled. That thing looks like your cold start system. Cheers Dan
We all get skunked every now and then. Hay there, l have a Case 400 diesel , there's something in the fuel system that sticks when the tractor has sat for a long time do you have a clue what it might be . thanks. ?
I have a mag converted to coil
Cool ole piece!
Pretty useful information on the baler, especially on the tensioners
Nice 👍
Just got a Ford 3600 dropped off and no one told me Neutral Safety Switch was not working.. Not good, thanks for this video!!
What breed are those? I'm guessing dorper or katahdin. Also, if the sale barn has a website they usually post a USDA market report. You can probably find the market report on the USDA website. I never tried because I always check my local barn's site for that information. I raise painted desert sheep now. They are not a tame breed but warm up over time. Another thing, never turn your back on a ram. Doesn't matter if he has always been gentle. I have a permanently damaged hand learning that lesson. I figure you probably know this but the warning is always valid I suppose.
Thank you for the information I will look into the USDA website
Is doc I would mess with the sheep. I just stick to tractors with your brother You too could grow that tractor operation into a very high dollar big money operation. You can just put the time in.
That is a valid point. However I have not worked with crazy d at the lot for about 2 years that is one reason I am walking away from doing tractor stuff. My nephew Junior mint took my position with crazy D's equipment the only stuff I do with crazy dis helping with his videos. Thank you for your input though.
Prolly keep it similar! I like the "Farming with the Tractor Doctor" ideas!
Call it anything you want and do whatever you want. You are the boss and you make the show(video). I have been watching you from the beginning. Good Luck!
Good luck with the new channel update. Keep the name it is already yours!
Glad to see you back !!!!!!
What ever you want to do is just fine with us.❤👍
Glad to see you’re back!
My hydraulic only move when the adjustment is almost all the way up and won’t even hardly pick up a bale of hay they can’t get it to go back down ?
Kinda missing your videos…hope all is well with you . Mac
I'm doing good thanks for the concern.
@@tractordoctortv Good to hear. Thanks for the reply…Mac
