I may be wrong but I think these tractors are better built than the newer ones. Thanks for the video.

doc, I enjoyed this video and pretty much agree about the Ford tractors, got pretty good at moving snow with the back blade but timing was important.

Doc….loads of potential for that little tractor. If she ain’t kicking when you turn it over, you might want to have a look at the condenser (capacitor..whatever). Please keep us updated about your progress. That’s a fine ,solid looking machine. Be great for hauling wood, or hay ,or trailers full of tractor parts. Great video. Thanks…Mac

Kansas without wind would be like McDonalds without French fries! I agree with you're opinion on N series tractors for the most part. Many of them were (over) worked to the point that they just couldn't do it anymore. On the other hand, if you can find a decent one, they're just about the perfect size to drag a 1 or 2 bottom plow to turn a food plot or similar light work.

I agree, these lil N series fords have not much value (not many gas tractors do anymore, everyone wants diesels) although that's why I like them, most of them don't exceed $1500-$2000. They are the IDEAL fire wood tractor though, decent power and their compact size makes it easy going through the woods and they're cheap and easy to maintenance (also good for plowing and disking a garden). But if you buy one for $1500 and put a lot of money into it, it's still a $1500 tractor. People are better off keeping them and having it as a lil chore tractor or something than selling it for a couple bucks.

Thanks Doc! I think a little more work on the 9N and it will be running in no time. Are you going to keep the 9N in your collection? 🇺🇸🚜👍

I always had to clean the points after letting it sit in the winter

That tractor has a sherman transmission. N series tractors are more valuable with shermans because the crawler gear slows them down enough so they can run rototillers and other attachments.

Good effort Doc but you're talking here about a 80 year old machine. And sometimes you have to surrender it to history.

The 9n was the tractor to have when they came on the scene. You have to remember it was either horse or mules or a tractor without three point hitch that would take you half a day to bolt on implements. They were the workhorses in their day. Many big farms had several on hand and they used those tractors lined up side by side to plow several hundred acres.
