Definitely this girl stood out from a very young age. She really lets the music sink in and guide her movements with a light finesse, zero nerves, the other dancers don't allow to their bodies due to anxiety.
The last piece is Jean-Baptiste Lully’s Gavotte if anyone’s interested. I love the varied non-ballet pieces they use in vaganova classes. They come out amazing on piano!
Ann Sounds like you have a Great Support System. I wish my mum said things like that. I have always had to say those things myself and pushed myself to work harder in dance. Until I couldn’t push, and had to take it easy. Now I am finding a balance between pushing and not and I am proud of myself. I am much more content with my progress even though sometimes I still have dark moments, but not as much as I used to. Good luck with everything!

In Vaganova academy the best 4 girls always get the back barre facing the mirrors and camera focuses on them only, remaining students are shafted to the side barres. The "best of the best" gets placed back barre + center , in this case its Svetlana.

Kaylie xoxo actually that wasn’t the message i was going for at all. i was saying that svetlana was incredible in that her movement was fluid and graceful without seeming stiff or jerky. i’m not saying that she wasn’t working hard, anyone in their right mind knows that you have to work insanely hard to get to where she is, and the other girls are working very hard too. it’s just what makes her stand out, is the fluidity. as for the girl next to her at the beginning, all i’m asking is if she has any tights on, because she seems to have bare legs. although i know that the vaganova school has their younger girls with no tights on, i thought that it was kind of odd that an older girl in her exam wasn’t wearing any. there was no comment at all about her not being good or anything like that, it was simply a question. she, svetlana, and all of the other girls are absolutely stunning, and they are all super hard workers.
@@piernevart4156 I think she has tights on, because it looks a bit reflexive from a certain angle. Sometimes if you have been wearing the same pair for a long time the thighs do get a bit grayer and darker in color
