This is a very interesting interview with Svetlana Zakharova, and the extraordinary lengths that she has had to go through, to achieve the very harsh world of a top ballerina. I don't feel there is a harder career to go into, with the constant self discipline, from a small child, and throughout a short, (compared to most professions), career. Now Miss Zakharova is at the top, she will always have to work extra hard, as there is only one way to go, and that is down! She is also a mother, to a young daughter, what a "juggling act" that is too, with ballet. My utmost RESPECT, goes out to her. At times I do feel that some people, judge her harshly, without thinking, and empathy, on a remarkable, young woman, who happens to be, and have, a rare gift for ballet.

'Judgements and comments - - from people from all walks of life - - think of it - - and obviously - - definitely words blurted out - - and at times impulsively - - won't fit someone's personal preferences. Stand by what you believe - - and as for mine I love Svetlana Zacharova ✨️ 💯 👌 ♥️ and wish all the very best for her future - - absolutely. Same goes to Svetlana's family too. And thank you to the gorgeous dancer @ Maria Kikina 💓 💗 💕 for sharing.

This is exactly what I talk about all the time, it was and never will be a sacrifice, it never felt like it, and I doubt it'll ever do, in spite of all the things people thing you're "giving up" you just blink and you keep on doing it, because it's your life.

Kathy Myers I doubt she's got eating disorders. One cannot rehearse for 10 hours a day without eating. She is just a combination of big height, small bone structure and lots of physical effort.

She is around 5’9 & that is without the added height of pointe shoes. She also has a small bone structure but her body is well proportioned with toned lean muscles. She is an athlete & as David Hallberg said in his book “As soft & ethereal as she looks, she is made of steel”.
