L:ocate a video which depicts her daughter, now around 7, ballpark, where they both do stretches together. Her daughter has a greater range than Svetlana shows. Jaw droppingly surprising.
She has trained so much and she is so skilled that it really no longer requires effort from her! Dance is already deep in her body and it all comes naturally to her
Gracie Laird Her feet are amazing indeed. That's what the height gave her in particular. Because I saw her in fast parts and she, despite her technique, danced like any tall dancer in the world: struggled to keep up that fast pace because of her long legs and arms. Like they were always left behind. I guess it's almost impossible to avoid that, can't say, because I am a dancer (not a ballerina) of 1.65 m, and although I am sad for not being taller, I was told my height was ok for dancing. In fact, my instructor is even smaller.
@@serbanescusimona Many of us love the elegance and grace from that height advantage Zakharova posseses. her mastery of ballet is obvious at every move. It's like watching a giraffe move its long neck. We don't say that the giraffe is slow. We say they're graceful and thrilling. Sadly, at this time early 2023, there's only one place to see her perform, the Bolshoi, and few of us have access to Russia to do so. She's in her prime. I do hope this bar will be lifted soon. This amazement is lost to videos and interviews, not performances. Besides, tickets to the Bolshoi are surprisingly low priced, but the hotel will be the opposite. She is the star. There are a few others, but this one is so exciting, she takes my breath away, runs up my heart beats, and in my mind, I am clapping effusively.
Her feet and legs are perfection! All the traits of a prima ballerina are exemplified in this incredible dancer, grace ,technique, presence, and most importantly the joy in her dance.

@[insert clever username here] she made it that way for sure, but in general ballet dancers in schools also get selected by their body types. So good teaches know bodies that are "made for ballet" before they even turn them into proper ballerinas )
E S Yeah. All the professional ballet schools want tall, slender, girls with long arms and legs. It’s hard to do ballet in a world where you need to have a certain body type in order to get encouraged.
This takes more strength, coordination, concentration and exactness than any martial art. Svetlana is often criticized for the fact that she is unorthodox and doesn't conform to the "guidelines" of properly accepted ballet. To hell with all that! Svetlana is the best the world has ever seen and she is original. Ludwig was criticized for not conforming to the accepted format for the symphony. Afterwards, his format was mimicked and is now the world standard. Always be yourself. Real artist do not conform. They set the precedent.
Svetlana is synonymous with perfection and what ballet should be, slim, tall, delicate, incredible ranges of mobility. I don't understand how anyone can criticize her.
Never has another beautiful ballet dancer ever born, to equal the talent that Svetlana Zakharova displays! Thanks a million Svetlana for making this video available on RUclips! Peter.
+Mary Smith it is less abusive when you're a kid than starting when grown up. When you're small, it takes like 3 days to go from nothing to full split, while for adult, months. However, the strength and energy are what hard.
В носках разогреваться теплее и удобнее. Если вы у Great Ballerina смогли увидеть только носки, то ваш культурный уровень ниже сцены, на которой она танцует!
Breathtaking watching her dance..She must be the Diva of all ballerina Divas.. What a joy to witness such dancing beauty. and perfection.a.truly supernatural experience.
everyone seems to be commenting that she has less artistry and character than other ballet dancers? i think all dancers have a different way of portraying their role in a ballet & i don't think she should be being criticized because of different approach to a character.
Svetlana has a lot of artistry, the criticism came from the fact that she’s a bit stiff especially in the upper body. Her focus is on perfect lines, delicate footwork, and high extensions, these would inevitably make her dancing a bit stiff. But she is a fantastic actress who really becomes the character. Just watch her swan lake dance with Roberto Bolle, see how her facial expression changes. When she’s white swan vs black it really looks like she’s two completely different person, one innocent and delicate and the other evil and mischievous. Whereas every other dancer just makes their face look sad vs lots of smiling. That’s the difference between a true artist and somebody who just has a lot of good techniques
~It is absolutely AMAZING what they can do! They don't get nearly enough credit & recognition ...I mean, people can't imagine the dedication & hard work that goes into this :)!
Every time I read "too thin or skinny" I just roll my eyes. She's a BALLERINA! Ballerinas are supposed to look like this at least professional ones. So if you only comment on her looks and not her technique its like you were screaming "I ain't got a clue about ballet"
Said currently to be the world's greatest... The world heavyweight--er, lightweight champ of ballet. Damn it, watch her... if you can. This much honest-to-whatever greatness can scorch your eyes and warp your mind. Is excellence like this possible reachable for any other human? I like to think so... ... or at least hope so...
I love Svetlana Zakharova. Her beauty, her grace, her strenght.. Everytime she dances I can't take my eyes off her. She's a wonderful woman and an amazing ballerina. There is only one word to define her: Perfection ♥
She’s just built that way… She’s not too skinny… She’s also very strong and extremely flexible. She is an extraordinary dancer… In my opinion, the best.
More than true. teacher...if we do not started in warming up...we could get a lot of when we can have injuries, that is, they can give us a contraction in our body, that is why we warm up before we start ... great part of one as a dancer ... thanks, warm greetings from Cancun, Mexico. very nice...
Even the famed ballerinas have known that film is one experience of the performance and the live stage is the other experience of the performance...I was astounded with the age of Margot Fonteyn's performance in Chopinana: her performance was not what you would experience as the same to what was captured on film. The depth and deminsion of the lines and style are just not the same of each ballerina. It is quite interesting to be caught with the perspective change of film vs. live stage performance. The artistry of ballet is conveyed and perpetuated in multiple nuances of a simple 8 count. Fascinating form is the ballet, especially when we come to the extraordinary talents that are the prima ballerinas and ballet danseurs...they can carry into a range not expected.
She's my favorite ballet dancer, absolutely. However, she's much more beautiful when she smiles... Also, I've noticed the great transformation she suffers on the stage, she becomes graceful, perfect in all ways. With her sport clothing on, she just reminds me of a fragile bird...
I have so much respect for this woman... can you imagine how much time, training, effort took her to this point!

She makes it look so effortless!
She has trained so much and she is so skilled that it really no longer requires effort from her! Dance is already deep in her body and it all comes naturally to her
Insanely great!
Everything about her is insane! Her turnout and flexibility (especially in her back) and don't get me started on her feet. Idol

No joy in her face though......not that stops her being amazing.
She is preparing her instrument (body) for work (ballet). She is number one in the world at present time.
It's like her body is born for ballet...
Emvadraen Dawnfeather I think both... And also the environment.
Arin Kim she made it that way.

I saw many of her videos show emotions and presentations that none others are even close. Just look at her Carmen, brilliant, brilliant.
Well said. Svetlana is the best.

She is just so amazing. Surely one of the best (if not the best) ballerinas of all time!!!!
She's so gorgeous that she seems to be totally immersed in her art even when she's just stretching and warming up.
She has an awful body. Don't know how she qualifies as a 'beautiful woman'
I'm so grateful she allowed us to see a bit of the behind the scenes. Such dedication, discipline, and skill is incredible to watch!
even stretching she turns into an art form..absolute gem in the ballet world I swear😍😍
haha yeah.... warming up. i cant even do that stuff if i was boiling hot
She is literally my dance idol. Her body was just maid for dancing.
What they go through as kids to get that flexible looks quite abusive, though.

So true. I can barely touch my toes LOL
The only thing I have in common with her is that I have the same fluffy socks she wore... 😐
Hahaha))
