Robert Freeman was still taking pictures of the Beatles during the Revolver sessions. There are a few well known pictures of John wearing some cool shades and playing his Epiphone Casino that were taken by Freeman during those recordings. Freeman also released a book containing all the photos (it's a bit pricey now) and his album cover was finally included in the Revolver deluxe release last year. I guess he got over it pretty quickly :)

That's down to a difference in culture. In the UK, no one would bat an eyelid at Grohl having affairs etc, and would likely be more surprised if he wasn't. Ludicrous to single out a rock star for behaving like a rock star. @@blairhatton3066

Amazing stuff. Regardless if you’re arriving at the ”truth” or not, the detective work is highly convincing and entertaining! ❤️ Regarding the use of the terms middle eight/chorus I do agree with Paul in this case. A refrain serves as a climax, a release of tension built up during the verse . A middle eight is a stand-alone section that isn’t an immediate ”answer” to the verse but serves as a more independent variation/extension to the themes of the song. ”Norwegian wood”, ”Something” and ”While my guitar gently weeps” all lack choruses but have prominent, repeated middle eights. IMHO🙂!

Also John Lennon was heavily into Bob Dylan in 1965. And Dylan had a lot of songs about affairs. Girl from the North county springs to mind. Latter on of course he took the tune of Norwegian Wood for his song 4th time around. I wonder if Bob knew about the affair? Perhaps Lennon boasted about it to him ? It contains the line “ I never asked for your crunch now don’t ask for mine”. In other words don’t lean on me and my material about affairs in my songs. Go find your own subjects to write about. Just a theory but it’s interesting to speculate about.

Singling out John Lennon, lol. EVERYBODY in rock was like that, even roadies. People fucked left and right, and being married didn't stop them. The Beatles did (including the other Beatles, with wives or steady girlfriends), Bowie did (including when married), The Stones did, Led Zep did, the Byrds did, and so on. It's called "Sex, and Drugs, and Rock and Roll" and not "Sleeping pills, and Tea, and Classical Music" for a reason.

That is a terrible embarrassment to do to your child who would grow up with the entire world knowing that, and almost as bad to tell everyone that she bleached her hair. Some things should be kept PRIVATE rather than to be made public....HELLOOOO

  • @Venusandjupiteinunion6434

Don't you have anything better to do really? I don't mind digging into the details of what did the songs mean, I don't mind hearing about the Beatles Antics on the road to a certain extent.
But when you start to try to get into John Lennon's head when he didn't even admit or say who it was about, that's just Criminal.
And it's 17 days till the anniversary of the man's assassination, so why don't we just assassinate his character some more.
And for the record, a lot of the stuff that John Lennon said in the 1970 Rolling Stone interview he already said was a lie. He debunked a lot of the stuff that he said in that interview as just stuff that he was you know making up or lying about or whatever. He was in a bad place, and he was just spouting off to Jan Wenner. (Sp?)
Now we know they all had groupies okay, but it's always oh John was the most salacious, oh they were all so just screwing everybody everywhere up against the wall.
But how come Paul McCartney never gets dragged into this and he's had two is it called palimony suits against him, I think he does actually have other children. But no we got to go after John Lennon, it's always got to be about John Lennon.
So then you quote Cynthia's book "John," oh yea he had the hots for Alma Cogan. It was Alma that flirted with John, Cynthia plainly said that, but you convieniently leave that out.
Due to her strict Jewish upbringing, there is no way in hell that they ever got between the sheets. Whether he got with Maureen Cleave it doesn't matter she pretty betrayed him, by printing what he said about we are 'more popular than Jesus,' so yeah that's real nice.
But I would think that there are other things to discuss about John Lennon rather than his bloody sex life. And it's never George Harrison sex life, it was never Paul McCartney's sex life, or Ringo Starr's sex life. And apparently Ringo got his fair share okay.
Can we have a little dignity here, I will make sure I don't watch any more of your videos that I'm absolutely sure of. 17 days till the anniversary and this is the kind of s*** you put out, you should be ashamed of yourself. I'm done, if I see your name come up on a RUclips video I shall pass it by.
