Done well dude keeping the sponge in there for a while and rinsing it into the tank, can't go wrong with that trick i just did the same thing with my Red Chilli Rasboras, and there loving it water's clear as can be, the water is pretty much perfect for a 19L tank Fish cycling does work and isn't dangerous to fish or shrimp 👍🏻🇦🇺
There’s a lot of factors that go into cycling a tank. If you understand the process there are steps you can take to speed things along but it always takes time 😉 This tank had been setup for a while before adding the shrimp. It just looks like I filled it and threw shrimp in because of the editing lol
@@PoseidonsPets most fish are hardier than most people are led to believe, all i do with a brand new tank is fill it up with tape water wait two or three days for the nasties to off gas put in some stability add fish about an hour later and touch wood i haven't had a fish die and i think my cardinal Tetras just had babies last night that tank is less than three weeks old, i do regular water changes once a week depending on the lvls of bullshit in the water but mostly my water is pretty good, plants eat most of the nitros in the tank and ammonia and on my bigger tanks i regular twice a day blast it with the power head with airline attached to help oxidize any other left over nasties not that the water is ever bad all levels were under or at 0 last time i checked my 3.5 ft tank, but I did a 10% water change any way regardless of what the levels of shit is in the tank
@@dack4545 exactly, that’s the variables I spoke of. Adding driftwood and plants from established tanks will have beneficial bacteria already on them. Now add only a few fish and a large volume of water you’re good to go. Now if you’re running lower temps, lower ph you have less chance of ammonia toxicity.
@@PoseidonsPets yer higher temperatures tend to make excess food and poo go toxic quicker, i keep my tanks as close to 24c as possible until its time to breed something

Cool beans on the janky tank! When I saw the chip I was thinking 50/50, looking great Kyle🙂👍🏻
It’s been holding now for awhile so we will see how it goes! If it fails im hoping there’s some warning instead of a seam burst. Should be fine tho
Love this. Can't wait to see the progress videos on this tank and the crystal colony to grow to 1000 shrimp
One of the females berried up the next day 😂 she’s like…. “I have so much room for more kids now!”
Oh map seeing the rack with the tanks, lighting and the wallcolor its amazing!
Right! My intro and outro gave a little sneak peak to some changes I made 😉
Love the video those shrimp are awesome 💪💪🔥🔥
Thanks!
like the progress Buddy 🔱
Thank you sir 🤗
Hahaha. You crack me up with that tank lol
Lol how so? My paranoia? 😂
@@PoseidonsPets yes
All of us fishtubers should save our janky tanks to play jenga at aquashella! 😂😂😂
That would be cool lol. Worst part of jenga is the cleanup though and I feel that would be a lot of clean up! Haha
