Haga was Gothenburg's oldest suburb=outside the original old fortified city. 10 minutes walk from city centre nowadays. 60 years ago it was considered a slum and in many ways it was. The city had decided to tear it all down but there were to many protests and the plans were cancelled. They have kept the buildings and modernised the interior instead.
