"White Horse" is the second single from
Taylor Swift's record-breaking second studio album, Fearless. The 2008 album landed Swift at number one in its first week, with "White Horse" as the sad, slow song to follow-up the album's debut single "Love Story."
This particular song takes a deeper look into the darker side of Swift's love songs, using a slow piano melody with talks of fairytales not coming true. The piano has been translated to guitar chords, allowing the guitarist come up with their own strumming pattern, to interpret the song in their own way.
The intro uses a picking pattern, but guitarists can lightly strum if it's not comfortable to pick. The same chords are used throughout most of the song, tagging on the Bb chord in the bridge. Follow along to learn the chords and get an idea for your strumming pattern.

Great video. Great teacher. Well done to you from Down Under. I will be teaching this to my guitar students. Like you keep reminding them, do it appropriate to your ability level. Ex. Some of my students will simply Down strum C twice, then pick the pinky on 3rd fret 1st string (E), then pick the B string (which is a C note coz your No. 1 finger is still down playing the C shape chord. Then move to the F and do the same. Am.. do the same. All relative to your ability. Great lesson. Thank you.

I know the feels to have the tiny hand problem, cuz i have that prob to , my advice: buy a small nylon guitar it helps cuz the strings are soft compared to the metal strings guitars hope it helps. :)

i found the same thing! just pluck strings 5,4 and 2. sooo instead of 5, 3 and 2...(if 6 was the lowest and 1 the highest string if that makes sense...) sounds a lot better :)

I don't get what is the difference is with the F chord and the Am chord in the into. Kind of the same strings being pushed down. Unless you use a Fbar.

Gah my biggest issue is with the strumming pattern and making it clean >_< and just using a pick in general... It makes me clumsy, so I'm trying it without a pick. Now I'm just worried about the pattern. Is it down (stop) down, up (stop) for the chorus?
