If this is ghe first time you have been in the UK, then little bit of advice. As late as suns3t is in summers, in winters it is very early. By 3 or 330 or 4 itll become completely dark. But as this goes on without you knowong , youll start feeling irritable and frustrated. You cant go outside cow itll be cold and dark. So develop some other hobbies or activities to keep you activated.
And be careful, bike thefts are very rampant in fhe UK.
Other than that, lovely place. Enjoy the summers. Long warm days and lovely beer.

I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are ridiculously high and mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll (currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways
The stock market will plummet further, so I advise you do critical analysis on companies you are going to buy. Even better, you could have an investment adviser guide you restructure your overall portfolio and offset the bad apples you’re holding, that strategy’s been working for me so far, saves me a whole lot of stress and continuous anxiety and also it’s very time efficient.
I’ve honestly been considering going the route of an advisor, this current market is no jokes for the average retail investor, but do these advisors really make any notable changes to a portfolio or am I better off on my own?

Congratulations again to both of you. Super happy to see you get a bike there. Forget places, the UK has so many beautiful roads to ride on, but yeah parking on the side is an issue. Not sure on the B roads though. One of the most frustrating things about driving / riding abroad is the speed limit. Sometimes it comes to 30-40mph even if roads are empty 😅 But aside from that, it's a treat. But best if you avoid motorways, it gets boring really fast. Also, if you are planning to go to London, take the train, parking in London is a nightmare. Also the traffic fines can be a pain there. Hoping to see UK from your POV. All the best and ride safe :)
