The worst part is they made the "Home Invader" villians the protagonists with justifyable motivations with the goal of not having to sell their house and give their kids a great Christmas. So when they get hurt you wince and cringe instead of laugh. The twist in this movie is Max is the bad guy, a spoiled brat who doesn't want to share his home with relatives for Christmas. Worst movie of the lot.
personally I have a soft spot for home alone 3 because the first 3 movies I watched with my family and the 3rd one stuck out to me as a kid. I am not saying it's my favorite or anything but it's a relatively solid movie for kids and my nostalgia puts it above 4,5,6 by a solid chunk :)
Home Alone 1 and 2: Absolute peak cinema. Home Alone 3: It's decent 👌 Home Alone 4: Dumpster fire. Home Alone 5: It's just mid. Let's not talk about the last one, okay...
Fun fact: home alone 3 was supposed to be recorded with fuller and marv harry but they got tired of doing the same role so john hughes decided to hire new peoples (im not sure home alone 3 was the last movie he did and the other ones just bad fricking copies)
1 & 2: Amazing! Must watch both every year! 3: Really good. I'm not exaggerating, it's a good film. It just seems weak because the first two set a super high bar. 4: BAD! Daniel Stern was right to deny his role of Marv in this one. Never going back! 5: It's not terrible, but it's not one I plan on going back to anytime soon. 6: Haven't seen it. Don't think I want to either.
Same here. Maybe is nalstolgia cause i remember my family renting the movie at a video store and us watching it together but id say its a better movie than home alone 3. Not quite as good as the first 2 but it is the best movie after the 2nd which i do know osnt saying much@JosieDelaney-ko5bo
Hey Nick! Great list! This would be my ranking from Best to Worst! Home Alone 2 (1992) Home Alone (1990) Home Alone 3 (1997) Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist (2012) Home Sweet Home Alone (2021) Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House (2002)
I actually kinda like 3 cuz it was the first one I watched but I recognize it isn't nearly as good as 1 and 2. Still, I think it deserves B tier. Haven't seen 5 or 6 but 4 was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.
When I sat down turned on the tv and put the 3rd one on the tv, the moment I saw the kid I turned it off and thought to myself (is this home alone anymore)
Only home alone 1 and 2 are actually canon to the series. Even though home alone 4 is trying to be in the same universe, it’s not because all of the movies from 3 to 6 are made by different directors and producers. I’ve never actually watched 3 through 6 and I’m glad that I haven’t. Those small clips were enough for me. Plus, I know a lot of people who like home alone 2 more than 1 which is weird because the first one has the most originality, emotion, and good plot.
Home Alone 3 is actually my second favorite, just barely beating the second. The first Home Alone is my favorite Christmas movie of all time, and the second is pretty good too, but Home Alone 3 is just way more fun to watch than the second. The music is more catchy, the bad guys feel more threatening, Alex D. Linz does well and is somewhat believable in that he can take these guys on, the traps are way more creative (yes, also way more contrived, but that doesn’t make it less fun), and overall the film is just harmless fun that at least is not a rehash of the first 2. It could take place in the same universe also which makes it feel like it belongs.
3:38 - *Spits out my peppermint coffee* The first home alone movie is one of my favorite Christmas movies by all times and the second movie is also good to watch, but the other sequels are not good after part 2 Also, Hank Voight (From Chicago P.D.) is also in part 4, yeah, I have no idea why he is doing here
I actually liked 3 because it was the first one where the mother didn't actually forget her son and the plot was very much different so it was a bit more fresh.
5:44 My boy's got brain damage now he should've died after that. Also this part of the movie could have ended the whole movie if two things happened. 1. Kevin's mom found him right there and they both went in the taxi together. 2. Harry just pulled the gun out of his pocket and aimed and shot Kevin right there.
I'm a film student, and in my film history class, my professor hyped up this piece of "cinema history" and then played Angels with Filthy Souls. Afterward, he laughed off his joke and showed us that there is a (kind of) real version called Angels with Dirty Faces
Top 5 worst movies of all time Number 5: Home alone 3 Number 4: Home sweet home alone Number 3: Foodfight Number 2: Home alone the holiday heist Number 1: Home alone taking back the house Those are just my opinions if you like these movies then that's great
I'm gonna be honest. I've watched a little bit of home alone. Well, let me explain you see when I first watched it. I was really like into it a little bit. I remember watching the first one at home. I remember watching the second one at middle school. But I wasn't just into it, no offense to anyone who in Is into it? I know this movie has a tradition for Christmas and to me me and my mother have Christmas tradition movies. My mother loves the christmas story and for me, I love the grinch.I mean, what do you guys think?Do you love home alone and is it one of your best traditions ever
Home alone 4 is set in the future. The Kevin in the 4th one is the grandson of Kevin in the 1st and 2nd film and Alex from the 3rd film. Kevin's (4) father is Kevin's (1 & 2) son. Kevin's (4) mother is Alex's (3) daughter. Marv (4) is a decendent of Harry (1 & 2). Prescott is a descendant of old man Marley.
S: 1 and 2 (I like 2 better than 1) B: 3 C: The Holiday Heist F: Taking Back the House and Home Sweet Home Alone (yep, I find both to be worse quality than D)
Home Alone 1: A Modern Christmas Classic. Home Alone 2: I get why people can like this movie, but ironically every time I've seen it, I've not really liked it mostly because it rehashes too much while introducing very little new stuff. Traps are unironically the most memorable part of the movie for me. Home Alone 3: I will admit I have some childhood ties to this movie, as it was the first Home Alone I ever watched, but I'll admit it's not that good. I will appreciate it for trying to do something different instead of trying to be a sequel to 1 & 2, but I think we can agree the problem is that it was TOO different. None the less, still what I consider to be the franchise's last gasp of a good story before... the dark times. Fitting since this was the last Home Alone movie to involve John Hughes. Home Alone 4: Let's not joke ourselves. We all know what this is. A soulless cash grab meant only to draw in ratings since it was originally a made for TV Movie. I think we can all agree it's not worth our time. Though if you can find some buddies and a couple of beers, it makes for a good movie to sit down to and just make fun of its flaws. Home Alone 5: To me, it's the most boring of the series. It tries to do new things again, but they all feel so half-baked. Again, not worth your time. Home Alone 6: The absolute bottom of the barrel. This movie goes against EVERYTHING Home Alone stands for. Say what you will about the other sequels but they still made you want to see something good happen to the Main Characters; New York gave a message about selflessness during Christmas. Three told a story of overcoming the odds. Taking Back the House at least had you wanting the McCallister Family to reunite by the end. And The Holiday Heist had you hoping Finn and his family get rewarded for finding the valuable painting. But instead, I wished the opposite would happen to Max.
My theory is that Buzz died before Home Alone 4 and so they replaced him with a new kid and named him Buzz, then Kevin died, so they replaced him with a kid named Kevin, then the parents died so the kids replaced them, and so on and so fourth until the entire family was completely different.

So when they get hurt you wince and cringe instead of laugh. The twist in this movie is Max is the bad guy, a spoiled brat who doesn't want to share his home with relatives for Christmas.
Worst movie of the lot.
Couldn't have said it better myself
I hate you all
its so cool to find a you tube channel that doesn't swear great channel!
personally I have a soft spot for home alone 3 because the first 3 movies I watched with my family and the 3rd one stuck out to me as a kid. I am not saying it's my favorite or anything but it's a relatively solid movie for kids and my nostalgia puts it above 4,5,6 by a solid chunk :)
Home Alone 1 and 2: Absolute peak cinema.
Home Alone 3: It's decent 👌
Home Alone 4: Dumpster fire.
Home Alone 5: It's just mid.
Let's not talk about the last one, okay...
I’d say Home Alone 6 was worse than 4 because it was so obviously a cashgrab
4 was worst for me it's so confusing
Everything after 3 sucked
@@andrewmountfield Which is why the commenter said that it's a dumpster fire.
The first two are the only Home Alone movies I count as the only movies in the franchise.
same
💯
i used to daydream when i was younger about being left behind so i could pull off my own home alone
14:57 FIVE GUYS IS NOT BLAND 😢
Fun fact: home alone 3 was supposed to be recorded with fuller and marv harry but they got tired of doing the same role so john hughes decided to hire new peoples (im not sure home alone 3 was the last movie he did and the other ones just bad fricking copies)
Never give up buddy you will get the 100k for sure
Thank you! I’m hoping to get there next year!
@ you got high level content buddy
Home Alone-
If there's no Macaulay Culkin,then I'm sulkin'
(Terrible rhyme, but whatever)
Good
1 & 2: Amazing!
I would watch it just because of how ridiculous it is. There’s also a fun angels with filthy souls reference
Will you rank the Sonic movies when the 3rd one comes out?
I’m doing something for Sonic
Lezzz gooooo!!!
With there only being 3 movies, it could be interesting if he also included the Knuckles TV series and the older ones
my ratings on home alone is
S Home Alone
A Home Alone 2
B Home Alone 5
F the others
I am so happy I’m not the only one who thinks home alone 5 is kinda good
Same here. Maybe is nalstolgia cause i remember my family renting the movie at a video store and us watching it together but id say its a better movie than home alone 3. Not quite as good as the first 2 but it is the best movie after the 2nd which i do know osnt saying much@JosieDelaney-ko5bo

Literally Couldn’t Agree More With Your Tier List Bro
I love your videos
Thank you!
Welcome
Can you do a predator franchise ranking
@ I plan on doing one when the new Predator film comes out next year
Oh actually there is 2 coming out
Hey Nick! Great list! This would be my ranking from Best to Worst!
Home Alone 2 (1992)
Home Alone (1990)
Home Alone 3 (1997)
Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist (2012)
Home Sweet Home Alone (2021)
Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House (2002)
7:09 "and a pi-zah" is probably my favorite Tim Curryism
LMAO. I heard it in his voice as I read this comment.

Home Alone 3 is criminally underrated
Bro the Pokémon mystery dungeon at the start of the video almost made me cry, nostalgic af
Imagine trying to revive a 5 movie franchise where the last three movies have been garbage and somehow making it worse
LMAO. The bar was on the ground and Disney tripped on it and landed on their face.
Boy, you adding blood to that brick scene made it funnier.

Merry Christmas man 🗿
Merry Christmas!
I actually kinda like 3 cuz it was the first one I watched but I recognize it isn't nearly as good as 1 and 2. Still, I think it deserves B tier. Haven't seen 5 or 6 but 4 was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.
That’s fair. A lot of people really like 3.
18:13 When Caeso's search history gets leaked
Am I the only person in the world who actually gains enjoyment from Home Alone 3?
No
I honestly though 3 was better than the first two. I have nostalgia for the first two and they're funny movies but as an adult, they don't hold up.
As a kid I found it to be kind of decent, not as good as 1 and 2 but decent. With that being said, everything else that came after sucked.
@BuryTheLight-tds Well said
Nope, I would also enjoy watching it.
17:44 went from crab man to gingerbread man 😂
They should’ve made a movie of how the marv and harry met and how they started robbing
YES
Agreed. Home Alone 3 is such a great movie and I’m not sure why it’s so hated.
And HA3 has such a catchy soundtrack as well.
Same! They shouldve kept the music ppl and John Williams every movie!
home alone 3 is amazing
1:20 ahhhhhhhhh got me 😂
Nick did you see Creature Commandos the first project to James Gunn DCU
Not yet. But I will soon
That surprised you didn’t mention the bird, one of the funniest characters ever
Honestly someone needed to rate these movies
Glad I could be that person.
🤗
3:38 - *Spits out my peppermint coffee*
The first home alone movie is one of my favorite Christmas movies by all times and the second movie is also good to watch, but the other sequels are not good after part 2
Also, Hank Voight (From Chicago P.D.) is also in part 4, yeah, I have no idea why he is doing here
0:15 I did know that thanks to Disney +
Home alone 3 is such a callback and a good one that is
What? Weren't there only three? There's 6?!
I know. It's quite a jumpsscare.
Why is bros editing amazing 🤣🤣
4:50
8:03
11:33
15:33
18:48
I actually liked 3 because it was the first one where the mother didn't actually forget her son and the plot was very much different so it was a bit more fresh.
Home alone 6 really is a movie that takes place from the villain’s perspective.
Im not afraid anymore! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
7:01 "The new setting also adds to the fun of the movie" 🤣
Top 5 worst movies of all time
Number 5: Home alone 3
Number 4: Home sweet home alone
Number 3: Foodfight
Number 2: Home alone the holiday heist
Number 1: Home alone taking back the house
Those are just my opinions if you like these movies then that's great
Idk if I’d say any of the Home Alones are the worst movies of all time, but some of them are pretty bad.
In all honesty, I think I've seen worse
@@BuryTheLight-tds i was just over exaggerating
My change to the list would just be moving HA3 from C tier to B tier, and swapping HA1 & HA2's spots.
Everyone has their own Christmas movies they watch every year. I personally watch The Hateful eight every year.
I honestly never knew that home alone four is the same characters as home alone one and two
15:33 CASOH!
LMAO I DIDN’T NOTICE THAT BEFORE
Home alone 4 is set in the future.
S: 1 and 2 (I like 2 better than 1)
B: 3
C: The Holiday Heist
F: Taking Back the House and Home Sweet Home Alone (yep, I find both to be worse quality than D)
I Agree With Your Opinion
I agree too. I have no problem watching Holiday Heist again. The crooks are better than in #4, and Finn's sister gets to help too, though briefly.
I think holliday heist is better than 3
@ bullshit
If you want to know how they look like, watch my latest short Home Alone Evolution (1990-2024) - if you want.
