@@lucy-pero well I think specifically this style of a replenishable flask is very soul-like. It plays quite similar to Souls games with attack, dodge and stamina management. And you're forgetting the main thing, the Keeper's Shrines that respawn enemies.
I'm sure you'll say that it's just a checkpoint but it's completely different because you have the choice to respawn enemies at will. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree
@@AdziGaming i just don't see how that small detail can be defining a sub-genre. By these standards, so many games that are so different to each other are now "souls-like"... it's not very useful
Fallen Order and Survivor are called soulslikes but they have difficulty levels 😂
well i guess GoW is too
@@R1v3n_B0rn GoW isn't a souls like. Even if you don't agree I think Black Myth has much more in common with Dark Souls than GoW
God of War literally gives you an easy mode.
@@AdziGamingthe side bosses beg to differ but even then those can be made easier in easy mode with mid boss checkpoints.
Wukong has GOW endgame type bosses who have that extreme difficulty attached to them but without any mid boss checkpoints or whatever
