Yes! 19 year olds shouldn't be pressured to plan a 40 year career. Yes! No one under 18 needs social media or a smart phone. I applaud you, Christine, for knowing your daughter well enough to push her out of her comfort zone. My girlie is a senior this year (only girl with 5 brothers), and I'm pushing her to go to school out-of-state. I know she needs to be somewhere that she's just her and not "one of those Gaddis's." It's not easy to push when I'd love to keep her safe at home with us!!
I dont have a stanley cup however if I wanted one I would get one and it wouldn't make me "not frugal". Being frugal just means to me that you dont buy things you dont need or dont pay a higher price than you have to in order to free up money for other things that are more important. Purchasing one stanley cup makes a lot more sense in the long run than buying a ton of bottled water. I use a diff brand stainless cup I've had for years. Love the Q and A! ❤
Watching this while nursing my two month old daughter, just so encouraged and excited for the years to come. Sometimes these days with the littles seem like they will never end- and yet this is the fruit of hard labor. Love your beautiful relationship with your daughter!!
I so agree that a 19 year old should not have to try to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their life! My 19 year old granddaughter is struggling with this right now.
Awww Christine and Hailey! I can't tell you how many times this episode made me tear up, in a good way! Such a special relationship you two have. I've got 2 middle schoolers and feel so lucky to be their mom. It's a bond like no other. Can't wait for the rim to rim details!
I love this on so many levels. It’s such a gift to have a good relationship with your family and we don’t get to see that enough in the media. Love to you two and thank you for sharing your positive perspectives!
😂 quarters!!! We travel south for winter and go to a laundromat… I spend about $4/$5 per load washed, $3 to dry. I horde quarters all year long for those couple months.
Christian, how many times were you holding back tears in this video? WOW! What an amazing young lady you and Dave have raised. Not pushing but do I hear a career in the making? English teacher, writer, editor??
Yes! I found “my people” in college and currently do not keep in touch with anyone from highschool and that’s OK! My husband is the opposite has all the same friends from elementary school - everyone is different. I wish people would have told me that sooner.
Lol, I agree with Haley. I could never get a tatoo- for 1 reason- I have a short attention span. I'd get sick of it. But I'm all for temporary tattoos - the kind that last about 3 weeks! Perfect! Great job!
First off, awesome podcast! Never enough Hailey, you two are amazing together. Secondly, I am listening to Brooke and Jeff's second date podcast (there are a few, is that the right one?) and I am screaming laughing at my desk at work. This is so so funny! You are the best, have told all my friends about you! Thanks for all your incredible content
Thank you for the college stories. My daughter is a senior this year and it just has recently hit her that she is about to move out and is not handling it well.
I think everyone has a bad day their first day or two of college. I also remember crying. My parents had already left but my sister's bf was there too and he came up to me and got me calmed down. Soon I found my group of friends!
I HATE that kids these days have to decide on their future earlier and earlier.......it used to be in high school students had to choose a "Path" and now it's going to middle school. What happened to letting kids use high school to explore areas to see what their likes/dislikes are and what they may be interested in pursuing further?!?! UGH. LOVED this podcast =) Best wishes to you Hailey! AND ENJOY COLLEGE! You'll never get those years back! Take advantage of it all!
Nothing wrong with not having a major. I keep switching my major while at the community College I went to. Then when I transferred to the college I graduated from I decided on a major. Hayley you are lucky to have siblings.
Just looked up Fitness Marshall because of this video. My life has changed forever for the better hahaha. Even sent a link of him to my own mother right now, who will also love him.
You can never go wrong with accounting, finance or business. I went with a pre major that means I had to go to a higher education program. I really wish someone just pushed me to just have a degree that I could start working right away. Such as an rn.
I’m wondering what role the gospel has played in your relationship (as well as character formation, discipline guidelines, etc.). Also wondering if Church Youth Programs have contributed beneficially?
I'm so curious how Haley was when she started having a smart phone as an adult? Did she find herself glued to it or understanding to balance herself with it.
I love your guys' relationship! Those second date update skits on the radio are almost all fake, I used to be so entertained but it's not as fun knowing they are made up
Ok this became a snooooooo-zzzz fest.... And you so go over board on clearance crap, for example body wash last Christmas, then you gave it all aeay... What a waste of money 💰...
Everyone has different priorities and outlooks. I used to buy clearance/sale items and give them to friends and family as gifts or give to charity. My friends and I are older and no longer need stuff, but I still buy my SO’s gifts early (Labor Day Sales for a September or Veteran’s Day Sales for Christmas) that has allowed me to give nicer gifts than I otherwise might have been able to do. Being frugal is a way of life, I retired debt free years (not even a mortgage payment) earlier than any of my friends, I can buy essentially whatever I want yet I still live frugally and save about half my retirement income. I don’t need to, but it gives me options and freedom from worry that is indescribable. If you chose differently that is your prerogative, but I don’t understand why you feel the need to disparage those who make different choices.
Not a problem I am fine with what ever people have to say... I don't live in a world where people can't speak their minds... I'm super thicked skin, you can't hurt my feelings... People need to grow up... Its about honest thoughts... If you don't want honest feed back, THEN DON'T PUT YOURSELF ON YOUTUB....

“I love my mom” Aw man, that made me teary. You must be so proud 💛
Haley needs her own RUclips or podcast. So many young adults struggle and they need grounded individuals to help them navigate.

Love the Q and A! ❤
Agree. Even if you paid full price for an item you value and will use-I don’t see why that isn’t frugal. Frugal means not wasting money on stuff
Ok so I am 50 and have started watching Buffy for the first time. It is eye opening for what used to entertain us. Lol❤
As a mother of five daughters this is priceless information. Thank you ladies.

Ok I’m crying!, What a fabulous relationship.I really liked the waffle Wednesday idea.💞

I was so excited to see another one of these!
Love you girls!❤❤ Mother-daughter relationship is so special!!
The 24 min mark… I cried. This is my daughter and I ❤ amazing! We are so blessed
Christian, how many times were you holding back tears in this video? WOW! What an amazing young lady you and Dave have raised. Not pushing but do I hear a career in the making? English teacher, writer, editor??
mini m&ms tubes are the bestest laundry quarter keepers!!!!!
Wow, she's 19 and on her own, amazing
Hailey is a grounded mature young lady. Good podcast. Thank you.
Incredible job Mom and Dad! Amazing daughter!

❤❤❤ great interview with a wise young woman and a great Mom!
Love when Hailey joins you. 💕
Oh I’m so glad you did this again. It makes my Mama heart happy 😊
Y’all are just the best!!! It’s so sweet to see your relationship. I hope and pray to have one like yours with my daughter (she just turned one 🥹).
My dad always said it was like wearing the same shirt everyday. That was enough for me.
Lol, I agree with Haley. I could never get a tatoo- for 1 reason- I have a short attention span. I'd get sick of it. But I'm all for temporary tattoos - the kind that last about 3 weeks! Perfect! Great job!
I love this so much. Please keep finding more and more reasons to do this in The future. ❤
Love watching you 2. I couldn't find your teen boy or girl Amazon list for Christmas ideas you said they made.

Thanks for the information, I share your same values Christine no phone to 16 year old, social media after 18. I cook a lot too!
If you like Tolkein, try Wheel of Time (first book is "Eye of the World".
I think everyone has a bad day their first day or two of college. I also remember crying. My parents had already left but my sister's bf was there too and he came up to me and got me calmed down. Soon I found my group of friends!
I was waiting for Hailey to say her favorite class in high school was Spanish!
Sweet-sweet-sweet ❤️

This was the best ❤
My parents let me stay up, but I was not allowed to watch TV as later night shows were not appropriate. So, I would read.
Great video

My daughter also named Hailey is the only girl & I we are now getting to this point in our relationship as she is 14
Ah. Now I know where that reel (2nd date podcast) came from. 😊
I love your guys' relationship! Those second date update skits on the radio are almost all fake, I used to be so entertained but it's not as fun knowing they are made up
I have a question for Christine! How did you pick the children's names :-D
I would have DEFINITELY taken the Stanley cup also. Nothing, some elbow grease, bleach, can't clean!
I've never cheated on a test or my son.
24:10 😭
You 2 making me tear up...😢. Stop it.
❤❤❤
I just loved this!!!!!!!!!!!! And Haley’s such a beautiful blend of you both. 🥰. It’s so nice to see happy well adjusted young people!!!
Ok this became a snooooooo-zzzz fest.... And you so go over board on clearance crap, for example body wash last Christmas, then you gave it all aeay... What a waste of money 💰...
Then why are you here? If you don't like it, move on. If your comment isn't productive, it's just rude. Mind you own life.
No I don't have to... I can voice my own opinions if I wish... last I looked this is still a free country...
