This video contains:
1) Levitating Golden Snitch: Harry Potter magic simulated by the real magic of physics. Well- the wings don’t move, but it does float above the base. Magnets are involved of course- a control system in the base, powered by AA batteries, uses adjustable electromagnets and a Hall effect magnetic field sensor to levitate the snitch, and it’s pretty stable too.
2) LEDs as PV Cells
3) Gas Collection for Emission Spectra
4) Three Shapes One Object
5) Aristotle's Wheel "Paradox"
6) SVK AXIS
7) Coronal Brush Discharge + Flower: electric fields are concentrated at the sharp points of the petals of this ice plant bloom allowing coronal brush discharges to form miniature lightning bolts. The high voltage is supplied by a novel disk coil variation of the famous air core double-tuned resonate transformer invented by Nikola Tesla in 1891. In this novel design the coil is created using modern printed circuit board (PCB) technology producing a spiral of many conductive windings, so thin and close together it looks a bit like a gold phonograph record. Powered by a 24V DC supply, this unit is fairly safe due to a low current (mA)- the discharge feels like a light tickle (but don’t touch the electrode- it gets hot).
8) Density Column Key Fob: lots of physics in the design of this ridiculously cute key fob- two immiscible fluids are sorted under gravity by density with the densest on the bottom and the lightest on top (often kerosene and mineral oil). The plastic Totoro likeness has a density between that of the two liquids so it stays at the boundary layer, and the forest spirit is weighted to be bottom heavy so it keeps a vertical orientation with help from Archimedes law of buoyancy. The most recent versions of this toy have interesting opaque colored liquids, such as the gray fluid featured here.
9) 1 mole Carbon Block
10) Bismuth Crystal Pendent

Hello Everyone!
I bet many of you can't answer this 02:55
Let see how many get this right!
Where are you all from ?
The smaller disc is using the larger one's circumference not it's own. Fake question really. Greetings from Scotland 😊
From 🇺🇦.
Brazil 🤗
The smaller disc is actually traveling a smaller distance. The distance between the smaller disc's horizontal edge, and the edge of the groove at both ends. Hello from Australia.
5:30 I can get 1 mole from the ground and that mole will be equal to 1 mole unless I hit a nest, in which case there will be a lot of moles. 😹
The bots have taken over every channel now. It's horrible.
Yeah :/
3:30 The important thing is the external circunference that rolls, that is the legnth of movement, each lap is one full turn, 2*Pi*Radius
"Practical" . . . I do not think it means what you think it means. -Inigo Montoya
Background music 10/10. Taustamusiikki 10/10 Ever since I subscribed I have enjoyed a lot.
Glad you enjoyed
❤️
Very nice again.
Thanks again!

Excellent music. 5
Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Génial
Rather UNEXPECTED appearance of Ievan Polka in this video.... _AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!_
The background music was very nice, appropriate.
Thanks for showing everyone your collection! 😊
My pleasure!!

The outer circle is fixed with the inner one and, accordingly, the torque is the same and the radius is different, also when the inner axis rotates, the gear ratio is equal to the outer one and the outer circle performs the rolling of the disk. I'm from Montenegro 🇲🇪🇲🇪🇲🇪
0:35 I love that levitating toys, but the ones that do not requiere any energy (no battery, etc), they are done by multiple magnets in attract/repulsion scheme that causes a special zone.
Yes! Harry Potter magic simulated by the real magic of physics. Well- the wings don’t move, but it does float above the base. Magnets are involved of course- a control system in the base, powered by AA batteries, uses adjustable electromagnets and a Hall effect magnetic field sensor to levitate the snitch, and it’s pretty stable too.
My understanding is one cannot use magnets alone, with no power, to levitate a thing without some other form of support or friction. I think you need some sort of powered thing to dynamically change the magnetic field, to keep the object in place. (Well, assuming only permanent magnets and ferromagnets. Paramagnetism is a different story.)
@@drdca8263 With only magnets and no power you can make a hall effect (attract and repulse) and create levitation.
It is an arrament of magnets in different orientations, it creates a zone where if you kove out (in any direction) a bit there is an attraction to that zone.
It needs both parts to have multiple magnets.
That is why i love that, because you can 'catch' with no contact... the effect is enough strong to 'hold' at a certain distance and gain to gravity (you can free rotate in 360º sphere one and the other will follow the move, up, down left, rigth, etc.), in other words, similar to what superconductors and magnet trap, but only with magnets on both parts.
Of course both parts must have magnets in such way that they create that 'hold'.
I wish i have i video link showing it, since it is really pretty yo see (not very complex design).
@@androidlogin3065 That seems to contradict Earnshaw's theorem .
It turns out in my previous reply, I remembered a detail wrong. It isn’t paramagnetism that provides an exception, but diamagnetism.
@@drdca8263 Without diamagnetism it can be made an object (with multiple magnets inside it) that holds in place another object that also has multiple magnets in it, and let a paper pass throgth both, with enough hold to beat earth gravity.
It is the way that magnets are set, they create a zone where magnetism has a 'lower' point, it more near repulsion gets higher, than atraction if more far attracition gets higher than repulsion.
Both objects must be 'paired' in the sence of having magnets in such arraments.
It is not just one magnet be hold in place.
I actually own the one used to torture flowers. It is most practical.
Where could I buy that gas collection for emissions spectra? This would be perfect for some demonstrations in my class! Super cool!!
Please read video description for details.
3:36 Is that from thundmail
Yeah but it doesn’t have any of that interesting light shape projections outside of the disks

I quickly went from I can't buy something fast enough to I'll find something else to buy. Tried every link I could to get the density cube key chain. After several dead ends I give up.
Anyways to provide links to the items in the information?
Sorry for the inconvenience
Thanks for feedback I will definitely work on it.

ummm I can't seem to find the levitating snitch... 0:33 Thanks, red arrow!!

3:31 Because smaller on bigger centers have same position, so edges move same distance. Unlike only small.
yeah
10 “practical” inventions.
Levitating golden snitch.
I do not think that word means what you think it means.
