    Mate, absolutely love your videos. I have watched them all. I am now going back through your old ones and watching again. I’ve been collecting vinyl in Australia for a year now and love it. 🎸🤘🏼😎

    Nice picks, Soup was always considered by music people as a perfect record at least from my group of friends. I would agree 100% with all your selections except STP. I liked #4 alot and remember buying Shagrila the day it was released and trying so hard to like it but just never could. But to each there own. I’m digging this channel ur taste is very good.

    Bucking ham /Nicks was very sort after and expensive in the 80 s. There were some late 70s reissues without the gatefold. I remember seeing those for 35 -40 bucks used back in the day🎸!

    Good selection!
    I haven't really heard much about the Buckingham Nicks album, but it sounds like something I'd like to own. Here in Europe a VG+ copy starts at 50 Euros, so I guess I'll have to wait a bit for that.
    Bends is my absolute favorite Radiohead album. It was also the first I owned, before they blew up. The later albums might be smarter, but this one has the best songwriting craftsmanship and most passion and emotion.
    Spot on with Pop also! I was in senior year of high school, when it came out and I found it a lot of fun and there are some great songs on it, as you pointed out. They were very creative during those years. The Passengers project is brilliant, and the Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack is also nice. Took the album to many house parties, fun memories. For me the U2 catalog ends here.
    Agree with Animals, Strays.

    Like your channel for the 90s emphasis. Dont see that much in the vinyl community. Would love to see under the radar/more obscure albums from the 90s. Enjoyed the vid!

      Appreciate it John! I have done an underappreciated albums video, and many are from same era. Check it out! ruclips.net/video/Wy_Dlev3Irs/видео.html

    Was hoping for some more obscure bands, not just the least appreciated album from a bunch of gigantic bands. Maybe that could be a future video!

    I've heard all of 10cc's albums and Bloody Tourists is my fave, and it was recorded after 2 original members left the band and 4 new members were added. Very underrated album. James Taylor's album Gorilla seems to be underrated even though it contains 2 hits but I like its deep cuts more than the hits. It's my favorite by him.

    Really enjoyed this, and will definitely check out more of your videos. I totally agree with Animals. It's not underrated by Floyd fans, but the casual fan....yeah. It might actually be my favorite Floyd album. If you ever have a chance to see Roger Waters' "This Is Not a Drill" tour, they perform that entire album, minus Pigs on the Wing.

    I have been trying to get a hold of the fragile from NiN for a while now. Still think just like you imagined on that album is phenomenal. Bought the cd my senior year in high school the day it came out. Crazy how music can channel nostalgia and lost memories so well.

    Animals is generally not underrated by Floyd fans, but The Finale Cut is. Not in same league with the rest of the catalog, but compared to other group’s albums a masterpiece.

    Pink Floyd? Buckingham and Nicks joined up with Fleetwood Mac! That solo album is really good.

    • @NTXVinyl
      @NTXVinyl  3 года назад

      Absolutely! The Buckingham Nicks album is a true undiscovered gem for most. Incredible songs, and so iconic because it is literally the seed for what became the new era of Fleetwood Mac.

    Great shout on NIN The Fragile - and totally understand your logic on Pink Floyd Animals - doesn't get the name checking the wall, dark side get ... As a Kinks fan 'Village Green' or 'Arthur,' and then in a Fleetwood Mac vibe John Stewart - 'Bombs Away' also with Stevie and Lindsay are on my personal list. Will get onto Buckingham Nicks ... Tusk also doesn't get the credit for the quality of some of the songwriting as it's always compared to Rumors, which nothing really can live up to.

    I have Deviations but have never Listened to it - it seems like it would be like "Ghosts" which I didn't enjoy, I don't like Soundtrack albums, I brought The "Dragon Tattoo" soundtrack but fell off after that - The Bends Was Massive "High And Dry", "Fake plastic Trees", "Just", "My Iron Lung", "Street Spirit" even "Planet Telex" Got the remix Treatment - All Bangers.

    • @NTXVinyl
      @NTXVinyl  2 года назад

      Ghosts is total background/ambient music. I enjoy Deviations a lot more. Basically just the instrumental tracks from the Fragile, as well as some remixes. Really cool stuff IMO

    In my opinion Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't is one of the most underrated ever, and The Cranberries as well are so underrated as a band

    My collection is chock full of underated albums.

  • @ssocialdrummer
    @ssocialdrummer 2 года назад +2

    I often wonder by whom are these records 'underated', not by the fans of said music, not necessarily by those who have a passing interest in the same bands. I suspect when you used the word 'overlooked' that was more accurate, underated is a subjective term, overlooked is a much more objective term.

    • @NTXVinyl
      @NTXVinyl  2 года назад

      I could see those terms being interchangeable for sure. IMO many of these are both underrated and overlooked.
