Love the unbridled joy she skated with - such a gutsy, fierce little warrior.

@proxy22 Some evidence to support that charge. In Michelle's short program Button says, "That's a nice position," for a relatively weak layback spin that he would later criticize. I still appreciate that Button and Fleming notice details such as the quality of spins. Most commentators of the time completely ignored everything except the jumps.

@getrealandsee Good thing she did because it wasn't more than just a couple of years after her Olympic victory that she started sustaining major injuries from all that jumping that would sideline her from competing so much at the professional level...

it's interesting how all the videos before you hear all the comments about laybakc spins and they do not hold back their comments.... but as soon as tara comes on they find good things to say and say that they are just "nit-picking" lol biased much? lol

Usually hated Dick Buttons nit picking , but with Tara he is spot on she does not jump into her jumps. The very word means up not around. I hated her jumps. I can appreciate some aspects to her skating, but overall she always looked sloppy to me.

This program is so much better than that Anastasia crap she skated to at the Olympics.

this perforance was meh. all she did was skate to movie soundtracks. i give her credit for those jumps though.

Can't stand her, she came to my rink. She never corrected her bad techniques. Can't stand the fan fare for her. Or Oksana both were technically sloppy.

She probably wouldn't like you either, but she wouldn't make nasty public comments about you because she has better manners.
