I grew up watching this movie with my mom and sisters, and this music just makes the memories flood back. It's my go-to comfort movie, and I think a big part of that is this beautiful score. Valley of the Shadow makes me cry every time.

I lost my sister 4 years before this movie was released and it brought it all back. This still makes me think of her when I listen to it. I miss you Deb

Well, the soundtrack of this film is good, indeed it received a nomation for 1995 "best score" Oscar. However the score of Lion King won the Oscar. Have you ever heard the score of Lion King? It's the absolute top.

His score for The Lion King won something like seven different awards and got three nominations in other awards. The score of Little Women is quite good, but the music of the Lion King is a widely recognized masterpiece of film music.

I liked the remake that came out in 2019 but I’ll always say “the one with Winona is by far superior.” It just invokes so many more emotions in me. The way Claire Danes played Beth and when she died while Jo held her in her arms, it broke me. Just broke me. All the actors in this film were just incredible performances. Kirsten was so young and you could tell, she was going to be a leading lady someday. Love this movie and this music. Merry Christmas everyone!! 🎄❤️🎄💚
I just saw today the movie How to built an american quilt and hearing the soundtrack I found it so alike to Little women 1994 I though it was me...but I have found both of the soundtracks have been created by Thomas Newman. The actresses are also the same. Wynona Ryder, Samantha Mathis, Claire Dane...three of them act in both movies! Love them, love the music...love the movies!
The thing to do is recreate the 80s and 90s film/tv. The thing is you cant. We were the tail end of a great storey telling generation. We had awesome instrumental music. The feel was genuine. It was magic. Xo

I watched this film last weekend, so well done! I was deciding between this and the 2019 version, and noticed Thomas Newman scored the 1994 version, so I chose this based entirely on this fact!
This is one of my most favorite movies and soundtracks ever & I have original CD of this since I was 15, now I'm 30. I love the movie since I was 12! saw few of the comments here, don't wanna repeat the same stuff because people here feel the same way about it as I do. When my daughter grows up bit more I'll show her this movie. Btw, who loves this soundtrack will for sure love (by Newman also) ''How to make an American quilt'' soundtrack/score.
