hans zimmer creates the dark strings and thomas newman creates the lullaby-like Piano, both of them in my opinion are the best soundtrack composers out there, I love all of Newmans work and have of course loved Zimmers for a long time too. I think they should go for a beer together

Thomas Newman is one of the greatest composers. Like one person said here, every SINGLE track of Thomas Newman ever composed from The Shawshank Redemption to this The Help (including The Debt & The Adjustment Bureau neither both were his best but still awesome) is BEAUTIFUL!!! 10 Oscar nods and NEVER won once, fuck the Oscars. He's won a lot of them in my book especially WALL-E, The Shawshank Redemption, Finding Nemo, Road To Perdition & American Beauty.
While watching The Help yesterday, I said to myself "This score is beautiful! And it sounds like it's Thomas Newman." What do ya know?! I was right. :) I freak some people out when I do that- I'm a nerd. hah

It was spoken by the Viola Davis character, one of the maids/caretakers featured in the film. That was a reflection of how the maid felt at that particular moment in time.
