I tapped my yellow directly to the battery. I grounded off the yellow lighting from the stator to ground, and I spliced the white to the yellow lighting at the rectifier. Hey Mike when changing to DC voltage by swapping blue and yellow wires, why plug the yellow wire back in to the neutral socket? Is it needed there for a reason?
Mike, for the rear signal lights my harness only has one green wire. Both signal lights each have a green wire. What do I do to rectify this issue. Why in the world would the harness only offer one green wire!
How do you get it so it runs on the battery but shuts off using the daytime running switch on the right. Somebody already did the battery jump but the switch on the right only controls the little bulb. (Amigo Rocky 125).
The Amigo should be wired from the factory to run the headlight off of the battery. On every Amigo I’ve seen, that switch on the right handlebar is useless. In stock form, the only way to turn off the headlight is to turn the key to “off”. On my Amigo, the top two positions on that switch are the same, all lights on. The bottom position shuts off the little daytime light and the taillight.
I’ve never owned one of those, so I’m not sure. If there is, it’s typically right by the battery. Have you unplugged the light and verified that the bulb is good?
Hi Mike! Great job on your videos. I'm interested in the taillight circuit. The brake light is powered off DC and works when the break switches are closed and the key is on but the taillight is powered from the engine stator windings and only comes on when the engine is running. What is the easiest way to switch the taillight from engine to DC power? Does the taillight circuit show up inside the headlight housing. I've tried looking at the schematic but the one I have in not the exact one for the 2022 Icebear Champion. I tried probing disconnecting and tracing the taillight circuit but was hoping I could find info before tearing into the frame. Can you tell me while looking at your wiring on the bench where the taillight circuit goes? Thanks! ~Kevin.
I’ve been at a wrestling tournament since 7:00am. I won’t be around my bike until tomorrow morning. Sorry, I don’t know the wire colors off the top of my head to help today.
Omg. Trying to put my bike together. Came to the headlight and there is just a bunch of plugs not attached. And I couldn't get headlight and taillight to work. Didn't even consider this, because as far as I understand it, lights have to work if engine failed. Well one problem solved. But idk why so many extra plugs. .. now I have to figure out which plug is headlight and which is the other 4 pin that goes together I think. 3x 2 pins go no where.
Hello. New subscriber due to this video. I’m working on a Sjyteam Dax clone trying to do this but my color coding is a mess. What I’m trying to figure out is where am I supposed to send my 12DC power to; to the low beam? The high beam? The high/low ground? The taillight is also powered by the yellow stator wire. Unfortunately, on that end, there isn’t a good place to just unplug and replug wires. You’d probably have to cut and splice into the orange wire.
