This is how my family make tacos. 🌮 We aren't Latino but Native Americans from California. These are the kind of tacos I grew up with. Slather a small amount of ground beef, or Turkey meat and fry it. Yummy.
Ever since I learned how to make all these dishes from your channel I have been able to stretch meals and use basically anything and everything in the kitchen my kids love crunchy tacos and I literally went from TV dinners to homemade cooking with your channel I will be forever thankful thankyou so much simply mama cooks!
I'm Mexican and I've never seen that method done before. I think it's an awesome way to do it! Time saver for sure. Gonna make them that way from now on. I love your videos and your also a very clean and lovely young lady. 🙏🏼
Yes, I will be making these. This is how my sweet Mexican neighbor used to make tacos. She used to always have a pot of beans on her stove and her food was so delicious
Reminds me of Jack n the box tacos without all the garnishes. Gonna have to try these. W a growing family and food shortage, we gotta stretch everything.
Thanks I grew up with these tacos and I am in my late 50's ...Southwestern States it is most common.. The beef fat mixes with the corn tortilla and is absolutely delicious! We add shredded cheddar to tacos right after removing them from pan, while tacos are hot to melt the cheese...MMM... Yummy!
I have a cousin that makes those tacos but she mixes in potatoes in the in the beef she mixes in and she deep fries the tacos like you're doing it's really cool so yeah maybe you could try with them potatoes next time you might turn out really good for you
Wow you just restored a memory, in the '80s my mom used to do this exact same thing but to the ground beef she would add a can of refried beans and mix it all up and then do everything exactly what you did...
Just went for groceries today, and between the rising prices and the meat department not always having much to choose from (I've had to get creative with stretching inexpensive bags of chicken legs lately), I appreciate simple recipes like this 😎 I like the idea of mixing in some shredded potato and carrot too, and making it with refried beans or even mashed black beans with lots of cumin y cilantro 🤤 Wanna try baking them sometime as well since I can't do much fried stuff anymore.
Before the plandemic, four bags of groceries would cost me around $250 now it's costing me double that amount. I went to the super market barely a week ago and I'm running out of food already. So i know how you guys feel.
OMW, these look like a guilty pleasure that I miss from Texas! Jack in the Crack (Box) tacos 🙄. Thanks for this, will cut the recipe down and try this myself!
I was introduced to this method by one of my Hispanic friends years ago, and my mind was blown! It became my taco go-to! I love your tip of adding the onion inside. I chop my lettuce, tomato and diced de-seeded cucumber with salt/pepper for topping, and add cheese as they come out the fryer so it's nice and melted
I needed a fast and easy recipe tonight so I decided to make these. For some reason I was skeptical about this method but it turned out delicious. Thank you for your wonderful ideas for meals. ❤
My Abuela made them like this. My white mom always complained, lol. You can add refried beans or fried potatoes to really stretch it, even 50/50 still tastes good. You can also put some cheese in with the beef- it’s messy but it tastes better.

My family loves it when I cook tacos this way! The flavor of the meat gets into the tortilla and makes it so good. I have never put cornstarch in the meat. What does it do?
I'm Mexican born and raised and while I can say this isn't an authentic Mexican recipe (more like mexican-american) these tacos look bomb and also super easy, I'm going to make them one day 😁
Girl, I can’t wait to try these! It’s only me so I think I’ll add a bit more meat when I’m making these up. Thank you so much for sharing. My husband always swore that I am half Mexican bc of my love for your food. I’m not but it would be ok if I were bc I SURE love the food!
The El Burrito in Redlands makes this with an a side of refried beans and an enchilada a rich chili sauce. I am telling you it is simple but a wonderful dish. We live 700 miles now we miss it terribly.
Thank you for your recipe it looks sooo yummmy can’t wait to make it looks so simple to make I like all your recipes keep cooking everything you cook looks so good 😀🙏
I just shared this video on pinterest! Thank you for showing us your amazing talent. You have a great gift. I'm so glad that you have RUclips to help you share it with others. ❤️
We always cooked the ground beef with seasonings first. Then we filled the tortilla with the beef and some cheese before frying. But, both ways are so delicious.
Hey mama. Hope u and ur family are doing great. Hey could u freeze those while the meat is still raw?? Have u tried it?? I was just wondering because I wanna do that. I think it would be great to have em in the freezer and have em for like a snack for after school work doctor's appointments.....u know all the jazz. Love u and ur videos so much. Have a blessed weekend and up coming week 🙏 💙🌊
The tacos really came out super crispy they also look super delicious 😋I’m for sure gonna try them with the avocado 🥑 cream best wishes from Edcouch Texas Familia Aguila
I too grew up learning cooking from my mom and gramma ...not using measuring spoons. Sometimes I get asked about recipes and I feel bad because I cooked them without measuring. And I'm sure they think I don't want to give them the recipe. Love your recipes...reminds me of home. Sweet memories. Thk you, young lady.
I just now found your channel and I am so in love with all of your recipes! I am going to start making each one tomorrow! I have already got your cookbook in my Amazon cart! Thank you for all your videos!

I learned to make these with flour tortilla from a friend on high school in 1962. My family loved them. Goood with grated cheese & fresh crispy lettuce tomatoes green onions & salsa. We even took them to school for lunch if there were leftovers. Thx 4 the reminder

Happy Friday everyone! 🎉 I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Be sure to check out some of my other videos for recipe ideas. I appreciate you! 🥰🙏🏼
I love your recipes. Thank you.
The raw seasoned ground is surprising, but it makes sense as it intensifies the meaty flavor. Love the spices. And the creamy sauce is genius.
Happy Mother's Day 💓

This comment made me follow ❤
OMG, my grandmother made these. thank you for bringing her memory back to me. respect Mama
I make these but mix in refried beans to stretch the meat just a little bit more. Very delicious!
That's interesting!! I've never heard of a person doing that.
That sounds like a great idea. It will also lower red meat ingestion there by making the meal more healthy
I add in black beans to stretch ground turkey for tacos!
Omg yesss that's how my mom does it and I've been doing it ever since.
@@FernandoTorres-xm7db how long do you fry them for??

My nose got happy and tingled a bit when you said “smoked paprika” I know this is gonna be good 😋
Love this recipe, especially with the rising cost of beef !!!! Great idea!!!!
And delicious. I think mixing in some beans actually enhances the taste.
The ground beef I usually buy went from being $3 to $8 in a matter of two years.

My friend's grandmother made these and she put a toothpick so they stayed together. Yum. I could eat 20 or 30 of them.

My new favorite way to make tacos!!
I wrap my tortillas in damp napkin and mircrowave them 15 secs or so, makes them soft.

Wow, I love to Mukbang the tacos you just prepared😋. Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭 here.❤️
I'm here for this awesome recipe...I love her cooking. I have 1 QUESTION: Can these be cooked over a hot grill?
I haven't tried that, but I bet it could work. 😃🙌🏼
@ would the meat be cooked thoroughly on the grill without the tortillas burning?
Yes, start low on the grill, so the meat cooks and then to a hotter temp to toast. you can also air fry them. A much healthier version. Yummy
Everything you make is so delicious!!! Another recipe to add to my list!!
