I've always tried to fry tacos with the meat inside just to have them splatter and get messy..so I've always fried the shells first and add ground beef last.. But now that I've seen this, I'm excited to cook some more this weekend!! 😄 thank you for the recipe!!
I been eating these for over 40 years and i can say she does it pretty spot on. How or why these things are so dang good is beyond me! If you are cooking for 5 make enough for 10. These things fly of the plate. I experimented with these and Made a sweet (Ketchup) based salsa and its so good ull slap someone after a bite. If making alot u can line a cookie tray with paper towels and put them in the oven on low or a little above while you make more. They wont dry out and be warm to hot. You will get alot of weird looks from your friends when making this but its ohhhhh soooo good!

Gloria, I first had tacos like this in New Mexico, in 1968. But the tacos seemed to have had refried beans in them, too. Very delicious.

Mmm. These tacos remind me of the ones I get at a Italian deli near my house. They do tacos for Taco Tuesday. I can go for tacos like this or the taco truck style. I'm going to try making these myself in the near future. I wasn't sure how this style of tacos were made. A flexible crunchy taco.
