I absolutely love making tank tops for my daughter. We live in San Antonio so she can wear them almost all year. Lately I've used sprightly yarn and Red Heart Amore (which I really like 😊)

Kamron W I would love to make big girl (plus size tops?) tanks and light weight shirts. I love in The DFW so I know what you mean .

I am on a cardigan kick! I’ve been crocheting for almost 50 years, but had never made garments (other than Barbie clothes)!!Ivecome a long way in the two years, but the thing that’s preventing my progress is too down sweaters!! My favorite yarn for sweaters is Red Heart unforgettable!! The colors are so lovely and there’s no itchy wool!! I also love Caron One Pound!! I have a l
A list... I also love Red Heart Unforgettable wavy (I think thst’s thename). It can be used to replace #4 weight yarn even though it’s a bit heavuer!! I have made about 15 Caribbean Cardigan by Annoo Crochet and used the Unforgettable wavy in place of regular Red Heart UnforgettBle Boutique! They came out absolutely professional llookinf!! (Sorry to name drop, but it’s a great pattern to try substituting one for the other! Thanks for the great video!! Oh Impeccable by Michael’s, and Barcelona ( it’s just like Puzzle yarn) also mAke awesome, heirloom quality cardigans!! Good old Ted Heart Super Saver has some colors that are very soft, and not itchy. My favorite is “Orchid””. That mSkes a beautiful sweater!!

I'm just getting into garments so it's helpful to have your yarn favs described. Thanks for sharing. I don't have a fav yet.

Great video! The first set of clothes I made was a baby top and a pair of bloomers for my daughter’s stuffed rabbit lol 😂. I love Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream cotton yarns for making baby clothes. So soft and not hard to work with at all. I have yet to make something to wear, other than a shawl, for adult clothing. My first venture into adult clothing will be a cardigan for myself. I truly appreciate this video, I was silently thinking 🤔 💭 what yarns could be used. This helps a lot, really , it does. 🥰👏🏽

Living in Texas it gets super hot in the summer so I'm usually looking for something rather thin. So far, my favorite is Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek DK. It is labeled as a #3 light, but it's really thin, maybe like #2. It's 100% acrylic so it is easy to wash & dry. What is your favorite thin yarn for tops? Your review only covered #4 and #5/6 weight yarn.

I agree about the creme cotton yarn, I LOVE crocheting with it! Unfortunately they were sold out and had none in my local Micheals last week! I hope they continue that yarn I have projects I want to do with cotton creme yarn!!!! Thanks for your video, helpful and informative!

What yarn would you choose for granny square summer top or halter top?
I'm brand new to crochet and now worry about it being scratchy and hold up well. I bought Lions Brand Feels Like Butta. Worried the squared will get too fuzzy over time.

What could be a suitable yarn for dresses and gowns? Thank you for the information

I love cotton yarn for dresses, it seems to really hold its shape better but for warmer dresses wool works magically. It's great at keeping you cool and cozy at the same time (I know that sounds silly but its true!)

I love the yellow cardigan you’re wearing at 0:26! Is there a tutorial or pattern for it? Thanks in advance!

The yellow cardigan was a gift from a friend so sadly that one is store bought. (I have a small obsession with cardigans so my friends tend to gift them to me more frequently than anticipated.) I appreciate your comment though!

What’s the best yarn to make a skirt ❤️

I would say probably a cotton yarn, but a softer variety so maybe a Lion Brand Comfy Cotton or something similar. A baby alpaca would be nice too, but maybe a little warm in the summer months.

I’m so sick of these videos. I don’t care about the brand or the weight I’m just looking for the TYPE of yarn. Like fucking acrylic, cotton, wool, a fucking mix of them? Like what do people use?? Cause acrylic is awful on the skin, cotton is stiff and I can’t make it stretch that much and wool is expensive. So wtf do people on the internet use when they crochet their cute skirts or tops ?
