Well a woman said it so......
"Stay at home mom" ... So the boyfriend is making payments on both vehicles? He absolutely gets a say in the matter. These two hosts weren't asking the right questions on this take.
Wish they would Sh*t on crazy girlfriends the way the do crazy boyfriends. Not saying this BF is in the right here all I’m saying is when the roles are reversed they sugar coat it for the girlfriend/wife.
They dropped the ball on this SOOO HARD!!!...
When you put these types characters together, this is what you get
Sounds like boyfriend is making payments on her car, since she's a stay at home mom and the car is going to be paid off this year. That gives boyfriend a say in the car situation.
Boyfriend is right. A Ford escape is a coffin on wheels.
They are good, but they do not ask the proper questions. "Are you planning on getting married?" "How long are you going to play house?" Those kind of questions.
Nope. She implied her boyfriend was trying to control her ave that's all that matters.
The word boyfriend and my finances should never go together ever. Boyfriends/girlfriends don’t get a say in your finances. Also, if you’re a stay at home mom and you’re not married…very confusing.
“Big twuck” 😂😂
Lol!!!!!

So this dude is taking on a single mom and some other guys kids and he still can't get a truck for himself without the simp crew speaking down on him?
REAL TALK.
if those aren't his kids he needs to bounce. This chick is a lost cause and going to financially ruin him.
“What is he doing meddling with your finances?” Yeah she lost that privilege the moment she decided to have children with him.
I don't think they're his kids. She said "They're with me most of the time" so it sounds like they're from a previous marriage/relationship.
Especially since he's paying all the bills. She said she was stay at home.
If they keep the their finances separated having children with him would not void any rights. Also, if he love her that much and “his” children he would get them a truck or for himself and not be telling her to do it.
But her language gives it out that these children isn’t HIS. It’s from a prior relationship.
@@Astro95Media whew boy that’s even worse if he’s paying for her and kids aren’t even his. Then she really doesn’t get a say

I used to drive GM trucks. Loved driving them, hated fueling and repairing them.
"WhY dOeS yOuR bOyFrIeNd wAnT tO SeLl YOUR CAR!?" Sir Simpsalot asks. Hmmmm, maybe because she is a stay at home mom and he PAYS for EVERYTHING? Trucks aren't what puts a man in debt, women put a man in debt. Nice telling on yourself by saying they are HER kids and not THEIRS.
Nothing wrong with wanting to get a truck and even bringing up selling the vehicles to do BUT trying to pass it off as "safety" is a huge red flag... I'd definitely be considering whether to continue in a relationship with someone either very ignorant or very manipulative as that.
Why doesn't she just talk to her boyfriend?
All they doing are just putting down the man. Without knowing anything.
There were alot of unasked questions. Possibly the notion of a truck being considered more safe was because they live in an area with extreme winters and limited road clearing? Either way, there were too many holes in this scenario to give sound advise.
Right. How do you not question them having kids and living together but don't want combined finances?
They’re not married and she doesn’t work so it’s not her money it’s his money. Bring Dave back please.
I’m not even sure how many trucks I have.
What you can do when you’re not shackled to burdens like kids.

I bought a Tacoma because, and I have no shame in saying this, I wanted a pick-up truck around that size and I absolutely love it. Do I haul stuff around regularly? Not really. Have I moved stuff with it that I wouldn't have been able to move with a car? Definitely. All that being said, I wanted a truck because I wanted a truck and I didn't make up any BS excuses about it!

Wrong. She was a stay at home mother. He was paying for everything. Getting rid of the cars would cost less from his perspective.
Was he paying for her vehicle while she was a stay at home mom? That would give him some say.
So what happens if they sell both cars, he gets the truck and they break up? She has no wheels.

Hello,
As many other people have commented......why are you offering solutions before you have all the facts?
There are so many variables in this call, find out the basics first.
George, you know from Dave the basic questions to ask. You are the more senior personality here, use your knowledge and training to
direct the conversation towards finding out what's really going on.Then offer your advice.
You know this.
Unfortunately many people owe more on their cars than their homes.
I have learned to not ever sell anything you owned because of a boyfriend or girlfriend said you don’t need it anymore. You will probably most likely end up needing it.🤓
These people give wrong advice often 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Jade sucks
So, if she's been a stay at home mom, then most likely he's the one that has been making the payments on the car, right? If they are living together, have kids together, and he's paying most her living expenses, then he absolutely does get a say in "her" finances. Sounds like she's the immature one.
She has a foot out the door.
Great take and thank goodness they advised "its your money" until you are married. I hope she stands up to her big head boyfriend 😅
He wants a truck but he cant afford it without her paying half. It has nothing to do with safety. She's having babies with a man she doesn't even know will marry her. That's her first big mistake.
smh terrible advice here absolutely terrible! so many unasked questions! this show isnt the same without Dave
So he wants to sell her car and reduce them down to one car, leaving her dependent upon him to let her “borrow “ his truck to go anywhere. Eventually he walks away, with the truck, and she’s back to square one.
She seems very easily controlled
Guys and trucks? They don't understand. It's simple if you own a house and do manual work.

No.
TRUCKS AND SUVs are not safer. Why do people keep claiming this? I drive a truck for towing and hauling, but never once have I made the claim that it’s safer than a car, because it’s not.
A Ford Escape is a large and very safe vehicle. Size of the vehicle doesn’t actually have much to do with safety any more. The real difference is how much the car is damaged. You are equally as safe in a modern Toyota Corolla as in a modern f150. The Corolla will just be more damaged in a crash
MV=MV, corolla vs Suburban in a 40-mph head-on
Hmm - they have not married, have not combined finances, but she's a stay-at-home mom. I'm pretty sure they have combined finances in some way.
Her boyfriend is full of Bullcrap. He's using the "Safety" issue as an excuse to get what HE wants. He's using the kids to fullfill his WANTS. Selfish. How many people are out here driving cars on the road, and safety has not been an issue? (lol). He's selfish. I agree...SELL THE BOYFRIEND Rose and keep your car...that's right *YOUR* car! 🤣🤣🤣
They’re not even safer. Ridiculous that people buy suvs and trucks for their kids with that excuse. Doesn’t take a genius to look at crash ratings.
But it's a fact, trucks ARE safer. God forbid a man for wanting to protect a single mom and her family.
If she's a stay at home mom, then he should have a say considering he's the one paying the bills.

George you just got a violation on your man card. Lol I’m just kidding but a Ford Escape is not a truck. It’s a small suv at best
A Ford Escape does have a high roll over rate. However!!! If she wants, she can get a better vehicle for herself. He just wants her home with no vehicle and wants to take her car and use it for a down payment on his own toy. He's literally saying, gimme! Now, if she isn't working and using him to pay off her loan...she needs to stop that if they aren't married. These two are an abusive mess of using each other.
If this couple is religious, they need to go to a biblical counselor for pre-marriage counseling. These two trying to give her advice other than financial is messed up!💯
The trucks are also under the guise of "looking professional for work", or "I need it for work". I see so many of these massive jacked-up trucks on the road in my area pulling trailers. I call them Chuck in a Truck or Taylor with a Trailer - some one-man tradesman / business doing plumbing, electrical, drywall, whatever. I have nothing against these guys because they work hard and hustle, but I often wonder what their truck payments are (if they have any). These are new or newer trucks that I know are at least 50, 60, or even 80k. Makes me wonder what they charge for their work and if they are charging enough. The truck doesn't impress me, and I'm sure most customers don't think much about them either. However, some people do wonder when they see a VERY nice, big truck from a tradesman pull into their driveway how many zeros are going to be at the end of their bill.
I’m a truck man !!!!! And not in debt loo😂
Kids are safe in a Ford. The end.
Giving that advice on that little information from only one side can be dangerous. This can eventually bring more tension to the relationship.
Other questions were supposed to be asked like when they are getting married? If she is a single mom, how is she paying for the vehicle? How they can both start working on the plan as soon as they get married.
I think these new DR personalities are very smart, very bright, but this is when you see the difference between Dave Ramsey experience and them just jumping too quick to give an advise base on only one side of the story.
