Thanks for taking the time out and sharing your experience those blinkers are nice I just ordered a crappy pair now that I see yours I want to throw mines down the street and get the ones you have lol
Dude. That was a great video. Very informative/Interesting & full of ideas. Thanks for taking the time. Man of the Lord. Bless you brother!! I'm seriously thinking of purchasing one of these & really appreciate all of you out there with your knowledge/ ideas! People are watching and these Things are growing(Icebears) so Keep posting the upgrades & ideas please. Thanks again!
Great bike! Couple things, boy that oil cooler line runs awful close to the exhaust...You changed tires..not wheels and lastly, do you think fifth gear is an overdrive? I'll bet it's 1:1 just like the 4 speed was.
I really enjoyed the video. Very informative and helpful. I will be attempting some of the same mods when my bike arrives.. I read somewhere that with the fender statically mounted so low ....the wheel will hit and lock and throw you over the top. True ?? So be careful.
That was me! It happened during my road test in front of 100 people waiting in line at the DMV! Yes, I think I wrote an update in the video description warning about this problem...
@@JeffReiman Glad you didnt get hurt, Someone must have quoted you in one of the forums. I never think to expand and read the notes. I rarely comment - but I enjoyed your video.
Great vid. Love the detail and the links. I have my second Icebear clone on the way, I’m going to try those mirrors. Folded down they’d offer minor handguard protection, did I see that correctly? Can you operate the front brake (and clutch) with the mirrors in the folded position? Your fender mod is cool too. I have been trying to come up with a plan to have a higher fender and an oil cooler mounted on top of the engine. Most high fender mods block the airflow to the cooler. Fender to engine clearance isn’t the problem on the 125cc/140cc but having the cooler tucked up right behind the fender seems dumb. I think I’ll try to do my fender in a similar way...
Unfortunately the fender no longer stays the same distance from the wheel, so the wheel can rub against it during a quick stop, which may explain why i recently did a dive over the handlebars during the quick stop on my road test! Think I will raise it a little higher...
Also you say you flipped over front of the bike? Did you get hurt? You're pretty big dude man thank God you're okay The bike looks like didn't take any damage either?
Just hurt my pride in front of several hundred people in line at the DMV. Never been more grateful to have on a helmet and facemask so no one could recognize me!
Birdy's Scooters for the bike, and Cajun Maddog for the ZS190 engine. I was very happy with both, Birdy's was a little slow on getting me the paperwork for title, but that's probably normal.
How's the bike been running? Did you use the Original Cdi and coil? I have a White Champion i did the ZS 212 and it cuts out around 5000 rpm. Im going to try the coil included with the Zs212 and try the original icebear cdi. Idles great just nothing up top. 115 jet is still to rich. 36 pilot. Have some days off work going try to get running right. Im in Pittsburgh maybe our elevations are similar. What jet sizes do you run?
My stock coil on my icebear made my bike seem like it had a revlimiter. I swapped the Zs212 coil in the bike and now im doing 74 on the highway :) Curious if you had the same issue?
As far as I can tell the only true upside to a clone is the increased fuel capacity out of the gate. Its like 1.7 gallons vs the Honda's .5 gallons from the original ct70.
and the cost. A poor condition Honda 70 with no title still runs $400^ so these running with better performance, better value for a driver, etc. Only true Honda CT70 purists are willing to pay what they are getting and what it costs to get a bonded title.
@@peterbawden3864 You can get complete ct70s in relatively decent shape, with no title, for around $500. And yes, the whole point of wanting to own a ct70, is wanting to own a ct70. Not a knockoff. There's better bikes for less $ than a new one of these clones. That doesn't mean that's what people want just because "it's better".
How long total would you say it took you to swap engines? I also have a Icebear purchased from Cajun and I’m considering doing the 190 swap. Was it worth it honestly worth it? I only go around the block and don’t go on long hauls, but I’d love a little extra power and a clutch! Thanks
It took maybe 10 hours, but I work pretty slow. I'm glad I did it, love the extra power. Worth it if you can sell the original engine and exhaust, got $300 for mine.
No, sorry, other than that the icebear has an extra wire, which can be joined spliced together so that the number of wires matched with the Zs190. Sorry I don't remember the specifics.
@@jbmoto9281 Sorry, that's all tucked inside the frame. I had to cut some wires and add a compatible wire harness, but can't remember the details. Guess I'm getting old!
Interesting video, Jeff. I am a Christian, too, and in this day and time I'm doing my best to be more vocal and open about Jesus. I work at our church and am not out and around a lot, but hopefully I can use my Ice Bear Champion that I'm getting soon as an ice breaker. Glad to know another Christian, and what are some of the forums you're on so I can look you up?
Hi, I usually have to initiate Gospel conversations with people on the street but when I'm on my Icebear I've had many people ask me about it just out of curiosity. After answering their questions about the Icebear I just ask for their thoughts about an interesting question - "What do you think happens after we die?" It's nice because I already know they have time to talk, so this usually starts a good conversation. My Facebook page is facebook.com/jreiman1/ and RUclips channel is RUclips.com/c/JeffReiman
@@johnengland8619 For me it's the evidence that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. If He has power enough to do that, He has power enough to take me to Heaven as He promised, and He gives me guidance and abundant life until I get there.

@John England So you don't believe evidence can give a reason? Are you moving the goalposts here? If not, how exactly do you define these terms? What are you criteria for "evidence " and "reason"?
The good: the mirrors and exhaust and the information on where to find them. The headlight is interesting but your description of the wiring was confusing. The milk crate was a clever solution. The bad: you didn’t change the wheels. You changed the TIRES. In spite of the published numbers on sites like Amazon, tires from different manufacturers are not the same size outside diameter. The ugly: the fender mount. You should start with an explanation of how the motor and oil cooler affected your choice. Those brackets should be black so people won’t notice them. The HONDA sticker is on wrong. I suspect you swapped the left and right sides. You say you are a teacher. I hope it isn’t public speaking 😮.
