- This is deliberatly an exercise of limited scope, which I hope you can hear me explain as we go through. The use of a vertical line and strike (as opposed to the thrust), was to stop people from pushing wide as they formed atajo and to bring the blade to the face (to prevent sabotaging the walk in).
As a Spanish, congrats for your video you are doing great💃
I'm a bit envious of the people who can attend your classes...
Also, I had no trouble understanding you. :)
that's a step up.:) inside helps and I boosted the sound a lot. Thanks.:)
Thank you, it takes ongoing practice as with all things:) but there are some excellent tteachers. Please check out Ton Puey and Aitor Blanco as two fine examples
Neither of them are. Where are you based?
+sean dominic yates Just a taste thing. I like both, deztreza is sexier.
+sean dominic yates :)
I know this is a silly question but, if during a sword-and-dagger sparrying you thrust with the dagger, could count as a point?
you get stabbed or cut with anything it is a hit.:)
+LondonLongsword I suggested to my little fencing group to introduce daggers in the sparryings, so if we get to a grappling situation, things will get more interesting...
My friend was in a bout once where they got in close, with rapiers crossed. He pulled the dagger out from his opponents belt (he had it sheathed at the time) and stabbed him in the belly with his own blade. Epic win.
What are your sources for destreza raper & dagger? Are there English translations?
google "viedma destreza." he's teaching out of method of teaching masters
destrezza with double z
it's not with double z lol
No es con con doble zz, sólo una. No Spanish word uses zz, perhaps in old days, but today definitely none has doble zz.
Destreza español, no destrezza italiano.
