Here is your Testament combo guide for Guilty Gear Strive! Full of all the practical combos you need to help out your gameplay, hope you enjoy! Combo wise Testament is mostly straight forward, just gotta think from a range a lot of the time though since range is where Testament excels!
P = Punch
K = Kick
S = Slash
HS = Heavy Slash
D = Dust

qcf = quarcter circle forward/236
qcb = quarter circle back/214
DP = Dragon Punch motion, forward, down, downforward/623

cr. = Crouching

FOREWARD:
Testament isn't quite a combo monkey, you will get a lot of your damage from stray pokes and projectiles. That said though you always need to know combos! Just keep in mind the core gameplan before you start on your testament journey.
BNB COMBOS:
- K, 2D, S Grave reaper
- 2K, 2D, S grave reaper (just does a bit less damage cause more scaling since you started with a low)
- 2P, 2P, 2P
- 2P, 2P, 6P, super
- cl.S, 2D, HS grave reaper, dash K, 6HS, S arbiter sign
- cl.S, 2D, S grave reaper, teleport, will be plus in their face
- Jump HS, air HS grave reaper, K, HS arbiter sign
- 6HS, HS arbiter sign (this is single hit-confirmable)
- Charged Dust, HS, S, jump HS, S, HS, HS
- stand P anti air, K, 6HS, S arbiter sign
- (basic rc) SSH, rc forward, run, cl.S, 2HS, K, 6HS, HS arbiter seal
STAIN STATE
- HS arbiter sign, S arbiter sign, or S sign into S sign
- Either arbtier sign, RC forward, run cl.S, cr.HS, K, 6HS, S arbiter sign
- Dust, run cl.S, 6HS, HS arbiter seal
CORNER COMBOS
- cl.S, HS, HS grave reaper, dash K, 6HS, S grave reaper (splat) HS arbiter sign to break, or bid if you wanna apply stain
- cl.S, HS, HS grave reaper, dash K, 6HS, HS arbiter sign, (splat) dash S to break
- Throw, S grave reaper (hits, then skull makes you very advantage on block)
COUNTERHIT COMBOS
- S, S grave reaper

As always this channel will have your back when it comes to practical combos for new DLC characters and with that said here is the guide for Testament in Guilty Gear Strive! Testament isn't a big combo monkey character but everyone still needs to know their combos! Honestly some of the combos are pretty high damage considering testaments range and and more neutral heavy gameplan, but I am not complaining. Hope this helps you on your Testament journey, and if you could spare a like for the video it would be appreciated because I sacrificed a lot of sleep to make sure this video came out today lol

You can get an unguided crow off both 6H and 2H without a counter, the only finicky bit is the distance with 2H, you need to be a decent bit closer than with 6H.

wonderful videos. doesn't focus solely on 'hard combos' but also advantages in setups to plan the next set of moves, which are (as a faust main) equally important if not the most. i've been looking for a way to break away from my comfortable main and learn new characters. your channel does an excellent job explaining the concepts without oversimplifying them. thank you so much and keep it up.

Launching into QCF+S and doing a dash purple RC allows you to follow the projectile and push the opponent just a little more so that you can get that wall carry.
Testament's combos look pretty neat! I especially like the routes that go like 6HS counter > Crow > Arbiter > RC into whatever! ^^

It's nice to see a character with a combo helper built into their kit but can still combo well without it. A lot of room for skill expression with the succubus, teleportation, and situational stain procs too. Let the learning begin!

Reminder to everyone that if you hit 6HS normal hit close to the opponent, you can do the charged 236HS for a launch, but you have to release the button just before full charge so the scythe hits too! Creates pretty sick combos
partial charge scythe combos I found more than a bit unreliable(and then found better versions featured in the vid for a lot). Still yeah its good to know, but unless you have a guaranteed setup I heavily do not recommend doing 6HS point blank unless you wanna die lol.

I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get the CH HS RRC combo to work consistently untill I noticed you used a 66RRC
Testament's track reminds me of Megadeath.
It's a tiny thing but the charged dust combo should end in D>D instead of HS>HS for 2 more damage. Just as easy so no reason not to.
you can actually sneak in an extra s after d here for even more damage but the combo has to be air tight to get the finisher
I’ll need to play with DMG but I found you can CS 2s 236H PRC jS jH jD 6H for 211 on baiken
On counter hit 6H into the crow I cannot get a arbiter sign after, and have no idea why, they just recover before it comes out
You are almost certainly doing it too slow. You recover from the crow toss a lot faster than you think! Gotta be quick
Very late comment, but for the counter hit combo: HS, Bird, S arbiter sign. I'm having trouble connecting Bird into S arbiter sign consistently. Any tips to get that consistently? It feels like sometimes the arbiter sign comes out just a tad too slow. If I try to arbiter sign too early after the bird the inputs don't get buffered.
Training partner matters I was training against Naga cuz that's what my friend uses and some of the combos dropped or were crazy hard. Switched to Ky and they all worked flawlessly
I was taken aback by how slow testament is in motion wasn’t expecting that at all… if testament were two frames faster on every move i would pick this character up more.
I think it's cause of his range so if you keep someone at mid distance it works
They have a shit ton of mix potential and can very easily whiff punish from long range and actually get more than your average character from it so I think its a nice trade off
they got reduced startup this patch :)
Hey Roofle, is Jump HS, air HS grave reaper, K, supposed to end in S Sign? Cause that's what the vid shows, but the description says HS Sign.
From the animation my head always thinks arbiter signs S version should hit otg

A silly combo that isn't practical so its not in the video. I try to keep whats in these videos to the things you would actually do in real matches, not training mode only stuff.

Jesus christ I just cannot get the dash into kick for the BnB
just dash a little bit and then you will be able to land the kick! i usually use the dash bind when is in the air because i feel like the delay of pressing 2 times during a ground combo provides me with enough buffer to dash in time and do it
If you want to squeeze like, 7 more damage out of the dust combo, do

If you genuinely think that then you must have some of the worst taste in music I've ever seen, the game's soundtrack is acclaimed for good reason, it's a top tier tribute to Rock as a whole spectrum of a genre.
You must've never heard bad music in your life if you think this is in any way classifiable as bad yet alone the worst.
Go listen to something like Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood, *THAT'S* a bad soundtrack.

I just calmly said how it made no sense, and I prefaced it with saying "if that's *genuinely* what you think" realising it could be a very weak attempt at bait.
