Can i do that without wraping a tape? Also i want to do it just by krytox205
I actually thought about buying this a while back, but the stock rattle of the stabs put me off.
If modding really is as easy as you made it look like, this board might yet see the inside of my house after all! :)
If I had a setup like this my siblings would go through my room and destroy literally everything

@@LetThemIn nah they would hack it or find a way in, you literally need a triple lock + chair block, you eat one key every morning so no one can get in, you can only get in by finding the key at the daily shit after a long day. Have diarrea once at school and YOU’RE DONE.

I can’t even lie it could’ve been tuned just a tiny bit better if you would’ve clipped the stabs if you didn’t already
the stabs are pre-clipped 😁 but ofcourse, anybody can do better! mine was just a quick fix

Omg I have no lube onhand and only taped the stabilizers and it made a pretty good difference! Thank you! Yes, the spacebar feels a tiny bit mushier (used electrical tape, maybe that's why. Still looking if I have paper tape somewhere), but it's not bothering me too much and I love the difference. Way better than rattly unlubed spacebar sound.
micropore tape would be the best too use!

its really not that difficult if you cut the tape in just about the right size!

i cant desoter so i put a bunch of skin lotion into my stabilizers and did the lazy lubing method with my switches but with extra lotion and yes it dried the next day but it did sound better

Your Keyboard sounds hollow and is reaaally loud. Try foam modding it (the case + in the mid of pcb and Plate). No idea If cheap Keyboard or Keycaps

does this mod last a long time? would you recommend it more than the holee mod?
my first board where i did this was only over 6mos ago, and i was using it as my workplace board, so far i think the tape is still intact. so as of now, its only 6mos and counting!

Would it be better to cover the stabilizer with tape all the way up until a little passed the curved part?
might be pretty difficult to keep the tape sticking on the curved part. but its worth a try!
Maybe use a teflon tape

its probably best to do on both side! otherwise might not feel balanced. >.

micropore should be easy and quite afforfable to purchase! any tape thicker might already cause problem and stabs performance.
not sure how durable it is long term, still prefer holee mod though its not everlasting either
how long is long term? :D
About 1-2 years, never had to redo the holee mod even though the bandage was sometimes like half falling out, not so sure about this mod
My stabilizers are rock-stuck how do I fix them?
seems like a case of wrong stem orientation, you might need to disassemble and check if stem correctly placed. i believe there’s a video by hamaji neo
My tape was too thick to I removed them and just used plumber tape
What grease do you use? Can I just use lube instead?
dielectric grease! some people do, but might not get the same effect.

Why put tape on the wire? Completely useless, the tape will probably come loose cause of the grease anyway
