Great video. For some reason when I sample into my mpc key 37, the sound comes out dry. I'm sampling from my Roland fantom and the sound had reverb on it prior to me sampling into the mpc

Try running the midi out of your synth into the MPC and the midi out of the MPC into the In of your synth. This way you can play your synth and record the midi info into your MPC, then the MPC plays back what you recorded. This is fun because you can mess with your patch on the synth as it plays back and you can skip the sampling into your MPC step.

Hey man, thank you so much for the love and support. It really means a lot. And yes, this is the key 37 running the MPC software on the computer. in standalone mode I just don’t use the monitor. I just look at the LCD screen straight from the unit.

Great Video. I love these kind of MPC Videos. I have a question. What do think about mixing in the MPC? I've personally bought the MPC, because I want do all my stuff computerless.
Hey man, thank you so much for taking the time and sharing this with me. This is a very interesting question and it could very for different people, but I think it has the potential with some of the stock plug-ins they give you. It is a powerful machine and standalone and more than capable to give a good mix. Specially, when you’re sampling good samples into the machine that you’re working with.

Nice video Malo! I have the XD as well, it was cool watching you incorporate it. Have you ever set up the MPC to record a key group automatically via midi? It is nice because it can keep the effects you applied on the XD hardware intact depending on how you set up the key group recording. I like making patches on my synths and then have the MPC record a full key group program via midi. Take my synth patches with me without having to bring the synths along.

Hey brother, this is the monitor I use for my Mac computer, so I have this key 37 connected
Easki drums sound pretty good i give him credit I bought the easki drums and the converter drums both for $40 after that he wanted $90 now $150 those that could afford it cool, luckily I have a lot of dope drums & resources I just bought a few packs from a white boy that play Drums not saying no names but his Drums are Grimey Fire and Affordable, Hitboy used his drums on Nas last album Magic 3 I don't play!
How do you get your controller mode to work properly? My pads are being weird.
Great question, it took me a while to figure this out, but all I had to do was download the controller mode Drive from my account, and then it started working properly

Why not connect the XD via Midi and play it from the Key 37 ?
Thank you for the input, not sure if I’m able to turn off the XD and still Keep the sounds in my MPC library once it’s turned off?
I’ve been storing a lot of these new key group programs as sample libraries within the MPC alone after the synthesizers turned off. Thank you so much for the input brother.
Yes thats a good point , its true .
Other wise you can play it into a midi program and re- sample it like a regular loop .
Jonwayne do it a lot .

Sometimes its cool when you have a nice arpeggio or a complex synth loop to chop it again .
There is no limit .
My setup includes a mpc live 2 , a ASM hydrasynth desktop and a waldorf blofeld desktop .
Yes there is so much to discover . But i‘m even pretty new with synths . 🙂

I had a huge dilemma between XD and minilogue OG, i went with the OG. You should Defjnitely use midi and just record your line and the actual synth will be playing your loop. Its soooo much more, the synth is Alive, the sound can be oscillating and each tone is a generated waveform, not just one sample being tuned. Once you have your loop down, you should be able to record it while you play your sequence/track - this is actually how it is meant to be used ;)
