Just found your channel and literally brand new to ceramics. I’m so intrigued! I love your way of explaining and teaching; I just watched your bathroom tile video and the results were stunning.
What would your recommendations be on a beginner kit/essentials to start with this as a hobby?

Hi Katie thank you for your kind words! So exciting that you are getting into pottery :) Are you wanted to wheel throw or hand-build? There are lots of pottery starter kits available if you have pottery supply stores near you or online - I'm not sure where you are based but in the UK - bath potters, pot clays and scarva are great online pottery stores. I started with a beginner pottery course, which will put you on the right track very quickly - totally worth the investment :)

@@BlankEarthCeramics thank you so much for your time in replying!
I would start out with hand building - I’ve just signed up for a local pottery class but was placed on the waitlist. I’m in the US - I’ll definitely check out and see if those available here/if there are US based ones which I’m sure there are! I Appreciate you. ☺️

@@katie_geddes Amazing! I think you will have lots of options in the US - there are also loads of online courses too! www.siporceramics.com/virtual-classes has some - I'm planning to also give an online class with her in September but the details aren't on the website yet x

Nice video! Please do an unloading video. I would love to see all those pieces individually ❤

That's a great idea - I could do some shorter videos on each of my kiln unloadings!
