Pottery Studio Vlog 15 - Floral underglaze painting and carving in celestial designs on my cottages

Hi Friends
Welcome back to another pottery studio vlog - in this one I’m decorating my kurinuki incense cottages by carving in a celestial design and using underglazes to paint on floral patterns. I show you step by step how I add a poppy flower design to the walls of the cottage with underglaze painting and then do sgraffito style carvings to make the design really pop! I unload the kiln at the end so you can see the results after firing :)

I wish I had access to a kiln. I'm using air dry clay up create with but it's not the same.

Ah that's a shame! Have you looked at this website? www.kilnshare.com they have lots of potters on there offering their kiln for rent - there might be one close to you xx

22:20 please don't think that. The ones you like the most are not 'the best'. They are just the ones you prefer. Other people may prefer the ones that convince you less. So, just keep the ones that speak most to you
