Has Gama retired from the national team? I expected more from Italy in this one, although indeed not all the best players were on the pitch from the start. I think for Italy it is important now to build some momentum and restore their reputation after two disappointing major tournaments in a row. But it looks like their women's team are becoming like their men's: capable of defeating the world champions on their home soil on a good day and losing to Northern Macedonia and failing to qualify for a World Cup on a bad one 😅
Maybe not that far but definitly an odd composition of players. Their probably best player Giugliagno was missing as well as starters Giacinti and Guglielmo also probably starter Cambiagi. Italy started with maybe 4-5/11 starters and some as you say 2nd and 3rd string players(Oliviero)
