- Musashi Padawan takes you for a tour of his 80s toy and star wars museum! In this video, see nearly every vintage Kenner toy from the 70s and 80s. Stay tuned right here for part 2 of the tour with LEGOs, Robotech, Starriors, POP!, Crossbows and Catapults, Ultra Saber Light Sabers and more.
This is one of my favorite collection videos on all of RUclips since you share some cool stories behind how you got the toys. I also think price stickers on vintage figs adds a lot of character and it's crazy to see they originally sold for $2.99!
Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed!
Besides being an unbelievable collection it’s nice to hear another collector who doesn’t mind condition on cards very refreshing
Thank you!
that crossbows and catapults game gave me the nostalgias, used to play that a lot
Me too, lots of good memories
I love the card backs without offers but I like those with the offers too. It is so cool to see the offers that I sent away for and waiting for the mailman to deliver that little white box to my mailbox.
I was digging under a patch of ivy to install sprinklers and unearthed a 1978 diecast Xwing! Its rusted and yellowed but made my day!
A true treasure!
Beautiful collection thanks for taking us all down memory lane and we live in our childhoods
Thank you, it was fun for me too
Cool collection of Stars Wars, and nice display as well.
Thank you!
Awesome tour. Very well done. Really appreciated all the stories. Really brings me back to my childhood. B
Marie Kondo, really impressed with what you’ve done the following’ her philosophy. It’s beautiful mate
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
awesome collection . Your collection speaks my language. A fellow vintage collector. Truely enjoyed your video.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed
I used to think I had an impressive collection.....I am now humbled.
Thank you!
Amazing collection AND an amazing collector. Absolutely a joy seeing this.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Absolutely amazing! Jaw dropping! Thanks for the tour. From one WNY’er to another. Man, I miss the Super Flea!
You and me both!
Amazing collection. Great tour video too. So many great pieces to look at. Really takes me back. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
So good that you recognise that Ewoks and Droids are part of a full set. They are some of the coolest figures of all.
That Boba and Vlix are waiting somewhere. Thanks for sharing.
I sure hope they are! Thank you
Your enthusiasm and vintage collection is very admirable 👍🏻 thanks a million for putting this out for everyone to see😎 love that you still remember the reason why you have favourites . Greetings from Scotland 🏴
Thanks for watching!
Yes, there is a fine line between hoarding and collecting, I totally agree. Anyone can be a hoarder - in fact anyone can be a collector, but few people are a connoisseur, and you are a connoisseur. Great collection!
Thank you so much, you made my day!
Great stories. This bring back memories of the pre-Ebay collecting era. Most online dealers in the late 90s didn't have pictures of their merchandise yet. Scanners, and digital cameras weren't the everyday household tech. So the figures were only described by text in a few words of their condition. I was buying sight unseen, and some of the horrors I received in the mailbox still haunts my collection! I also remember carded back in the late 90s was still pretty expensive; 200-400 for many, and even more for the 77s and 85s. Sound like the early 90s was the time to do it.
Amazing room btw!
Thank you! The 90's was a magical time for collecting
Awesome video!!! I am starting to collect all the vintage Star Wars toys, i am a 70's kid, i grew up with Star Wars and i am a big fan of the movies and toys, its fantastic to see all those vintage toys that you have, it brings back great memories!!! Thank you for that.
Glad you enjoyed! Happy hunting on your collection
Awesome collection! Identify with a lot of your nostalgic connections and owned and wore out my own collection as a kid. I still have my Vader case full of beat up figures, it’s the one thing I’ve taken with me every step of my life journey and it’s almost a fluke because I recall selling a lot of my toys at a family garage sale and I sold everything but my Star Wars toys. I had the whole lot priced at 20 bucks in a laundry bin and nobody wanted them. And now it’s so cool to still have them to preface my ridiculous collection of modern figures.
Amazing how fate works!
Spectacular collection! I especially love the K-Mart story. 😁👌
Thank you!
32:34 you just broke my heart. I owned that Diecast TIE Bomber!!! I got it around the same time my mom and dad got me the miniature Cloud City Vader vs. Luke playset (it had the breakable window feature on it).
I'm gonna kick myself that I don't have that stuff anymore.
At least you have the memories
That was awesome bro!! Brought back SO many memories!! Thanks for sharing
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Thx for sharing ... it was a trip through childhood memory 🥰🥰🖤🖤
You are welcome

Cool collection my friend 👌
Thanks for coming!
Great flashback video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed this video and all your personal insights! Fabulous!
THE BLACKED OUT EWOKS thank you! Glad you enjoyed
That was spectacular awesome collection I really enjoyed that. You got the stuff and everybody wants back in the day before it was crazy expensive now. Plus you have the stories to go along with your collecting. I collect Star Wars Kenner and the vintage collection from Hasbro plus I collect vinyl records and they all have a story behind them.
The stories are my favorite part of collecting! Thank you for checking out my tour
Thank you for the great video. You really said some things I needed to hear. And your collection is amazing.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed!
Amazing how you have all of that in the original packaging! What a great tour, I felt like I was back in K Mart in 1983 again.
Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed.
K mart was legendary.
Awesome collection and I loved the way you took the time to explain things. I to have been a huge fan since the beginning. I started collecting seriously in the mid 90’s and still at it today. Great video!!! MTFBWYA!!!! 😎
Thank you- may the force also be with you!
Great video bro, I mostly collect Hot Toys and Statue’s but I loveeeee watching vintage toy collections, I wasn’t born until 88 but I still get that insane feeling seeing all these vintage Star Wars toys!
I love seeing others collections too! Thank you.
Awesome tour awesome collection ! New to the channel. Thank you for sharing with all who enjoy Star Wars
Thank you, my pleasure!
Your collection made me drool. Unfortunately like most I’m waiting for a lottery win to afford a collection like this 😂😂

Awesome toys
Awesome video! Love the time you took to describe each piece
Thank you! We had a blast putting this together
Incredible Collection Man
DEI-WAN- GREY thank you!
We look to be same age group. I saw ANH in the theater same time as well (my mom rocks) - I used to own so much of the stuff you display, it's makin' me all weepy. I would give my pinky toe for those old Kenner 12" figures again.
Beautiful collection
Thanks for watching
Wow that is an amazing collection!
Thanks so much!
Not sure how I ended up here but great stuf!!!!
One never knows where the youtube rabbit hole may lead! Glad you enjoyed
Fantastic
Awesome Collection 👍
Thank you!
Love the story behind the Ree-Yees-figure.
Thanks for watching! That is one of my favorite stories to tell
Wow! You have one of the best collection's I have ever seen. I could look at this all day. Thanks for the tour :) #maytheforcebewithyou
Thank you for the high praise, glad you enjoyed!
Totally awesome
Thank you
Awesome collection
Thank you!
Awesome collection!
Thank you!
Excellent collection! Loved seeing this video and talking about how you got some stuff! Nicely displayed as well! I just started collecting so this is helpful for me to see. Thanks :)
Thank you! Good luck with your collection.
Awesome!!
Thank you!
So cool! I couldn't help but notice that you seem to be missing the Palitoy cardboard death star - my favorite as a kid, play-wise, which got me into SW toy collecting back then.
great video, great collection! greetings from germany!
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome collection and video! As a lifelong collector of various things totally agree the best advice I ever got was collect what you love. Dont be a prospecter. Two is plenty of a figure and save one for the next guy. I do hate how everything is pretty much preorder if you want to be sure you get a certain figure now a days.
Well said
Hey great video man!..I say that as someone who does videos too...good autobiography and story telling. You have an awesome collection there. I like the offerless figures as well because you can see the photography. Great video and thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!
Congratulations man that is one hell of a collection! I hope you have it insured lol...
Oh yes, VERY insured!
Awesome collection. Subscribed
Thank you!
Your wall is incredible and your stories are really fun, amazing video man.
Thanks so much, I am glad you enjoyed
Such waves of nostalgia. Had many as a kid. For the figures i cut out the name tags and the cool pictures and threw the rest away.
What i still don´t understand is why they did not make lots of stormtroopers because they were so hard to get while you want at least a squad. Later we had all the rebels disguised as stormtroopers which we mostly used as actual stormtroopers.
Thank you! Yes, I remember troops being hard to come by back in the 80s when I was a kid
Very Cool!!! May the Force Be with You...
And also with you
I just started collecting star wars stuff, I'm new to these items
Welcome to what started it all! Its great that new collectors are always joining the scene and keeping the hobby alive.
@@MusashiPadawan been fan of star wars growing up phantom menace was my first film I watched, bought a few items of ebay been watching mandalorian so that got me to start the collecting bought a luke skywalker model kit
I would love a tour when lockdown ends. You’ve managed to organize everything the way I would if I had the space and resources. That missing Droids Fett must keep your mind scheming for ways to get it-including just paying the 5K! The curse of the completionist mind.
Thank you for the kind words. Great hardwired 80s collector minds think alike! Tours, trade meets and adult beverages are in order once the plague lifts.
Does this comment stand? Now that things are more settled down, I’d love to see it if it’s still in place.
impressive collection. I have the complete collection of figures loose, some vehicles and some carded
Thank you, and congrats on the complete collection of figures, that is a big achievement!
@@MusashiPadawan took me a while to get good deals on the carded ones. Only have

Collection is an addiction. My wife said they need a hotline for collector's.
They say the first step is admitting you have a problem.... I am not there yet!!
Wow awesome brother! I have a collection myself . I was born in 1978 so I think we are close in age! But my collection is all Star Wars 3.75” and vehicles. I’m at around 250 figures and I have the legacy falcon, 1997 AT AT, THE ROYAL NABOO SHIP, VADERS TIE FIGHTER , JABBAS SKIFF, A FEW SPEEDERS, AT ST BLACK SERIES, AND A COUPLE OTHER SMALL VEHICLES, a good start..lol I been collecting for about 5 years now, before I had a big toy biz marvel legends but they were to big! I stopped that collection at around 100 ad they took up an entire wall
Thank you! Running out of wall space is a challenge!
Nice Job sir !
Thanks!
Yak face was released in Australia on a Power of the Force cardback too.
Wow! I love Kenner! Amazing display Ive subbed :-)
Ian Bowden thank you so much!
Hi Ian Bowden, I hope you are well..cheers K
@@Blackedoutewoks hey :-) yes Im well thanks , I hope u are doing well! Yes I still watch videos on here :-) Im on facebook to! Do take care :-)
Not sure how you feel about customs or reproduction figures, but there's a guy out of Singapore who makes some great Kenner throwbacks! He makes a lot of the Droids figures carded and loose, custom sandtroopers and various rocket-firing Boba Fetts. Stan Solo out of the UK does amazing work too! Anyway, great collection!!
Thank you!
Great tour and collection! Really enjoyed your stories behind the figures - gives your collection depth.
Thank you! Love telling stories
😮😮😮OMG. WOW! Heaven???
Couldn't help but notice that you're a fellow Vagabond fan judging by the framed print! Takehiko Inoue sure is great, huh.
yes indeed I am, thank you!
I still have my mail away action figure survival pack with my name on the box from when I was a kid.
James Conroy very cool! Only a couple items in the collection are actually from my childhood.
Beautiful collection. I loved seeing all of your items and hearing your stories. I had a question. Since you are into collecting Star Wars items, have you ever visited Rancho Obi Wan which is owned and managed by Steven Sansweet? I hear it is the largest Star Wars collection in the world. Sansweet made his collection open to the public as a museum. I have never been there, but it is on my bucket list. I was just wondering if you had visited there and what your impressions of the place were.
Yes, I have! in fact I discuss it briefly in the part 2 video of this tour. Rancho Obi Wan is a MUST for any star wars fan. Steve is an amazing and gracious host. I cannot recommend it enough. My daughter, sister and I did a tour for my 40th birthday and I will never forget it! Even if you do not make, make it a point to donate. I do every year. Thank you for the kind words and question!
Wonderful collection and video and as collections grow I keep looking at bigger houses, thought the house I bought was ideal....but, no. In Australia we got the 1984/85 POTF Yak face on the coin carded version, not sure if we had the trilogo version.
Wally and Ellen room to display the collection is always a consideration! Yes, you were lucky to get the Yak with coin- a very rare carded figure indeed!
@@MusashiPadawan Australia, Canada and England got the Yak face and some other European countries like Belgium and Germany, although I'm not 100% sure. I heard from other collectors that in 1985 the Star Wars toys were not selling well and in various stores they had a bin full of carded Yak face with coin selling for 50 cents each. Thanks for the reply mate.
@@wallyandellen5099 Yes, I ended up getting ALL the Mini Rigs @ Woolworth's in Guadalajara, Mexico, while on vacation for my 12th B-Day. I paid $10 USD for every 3 that I bought (went back until I bought each distinct one)!
i had to giggle when you said "Thats a r 2 d2 with a third leg"
Legendary!
Wow I have six boxes in a storage shed with these same boxes and toys no idea they were worth anything I’m going there tonight to grab them and bring them home stumbled on this video by accident if there’s anything good I’d like to give them to a collector I have no use for them!!!
Sounds like you might have a treasure on your hands!
Yak Face was released here in Australia...mine remains mint from childhood still
Yes, we were not lucky enough to get him in the states, good thing for Canada!
@@MusashiPadawan Did you guys get them imported thru Canada back in 85 etc....
@@rustyblades2566 No, but I am lucky to live very close to the border so there is cross border trade
@@MusashiPadawan Excellent 👍
You are one lucky one kid
Hey, amazing collection and displayed beautifully. I am doing some research and would be interested if your Weequay is a Palitoy 65C cardback?
Hey, thank you. You are absolutely correct, Palitoy 65 back. Good eye!
I just bought a pack of 38 figures varying from empire to return of the jedi to start a wall. What are the clear plastics you put the figure cards in to hang them on the wall? I would appreciate the info, thank you. From Reykjavik, Iceland.
very jealous of your collection sir.
I found a store in ogden, utah called Hee Bee Gee Bees. I was able to buy a few you have. I think i spent 400 bucks. Was even to get an origional cylon fighter from Battlestar Galatica still in the box. I have Yak Face to. I payed 200 for mine 9 years ago.
Do you have the vinyl jawa? Nice collection. That yak face is a holy grail.
Thank you! The vinyl Jawa is so rare, in all my years of wheeling and dealing the only legit one I ever have seen was at Rancho Obi-Wan- I got to hold it!
Hi!! Love the tour. - Is that a legacy millennium falcon at the beginning of the video?
I am not sure of the brand of the falcon going down the stairs. It came with the wall decal and lights up.
WOW
do u do ebay thanks
Just curious, are you not interested in removing price tags? I’m starting to expand my collection and have been looking at videos online about how to remove price tags and tape and was just wondering why you haven’t. Personal preference?
Hey thanks, good question! Two reasons, first I do not want to alter or ruin the original pieces with a bad job. Second, I like to think the vintage specimens come to me with a story and character. Like a 40-50 year old person with scars and tattoos! And as with tattoos, I may not prefer them, but they are a permanent part of the piece. Just my take on it. thank you!
Nice! But do u have a starwars aquarium?lol
No animals were used in the making of this video!
Does anyone have a rough approximate estimate of how much money his collection is worth?
Do you have Lego vintage cloud city in box
I actually sold the original LEGO cloud city when the newer, bigger set was released.
